The last Jew in Afghanistan leaves

I'd read news items indicating that the Jewish communities in the Islamic world are vanishing, and here's something that could confirm what's now happening:
The man who has been known as the last Jew in Afghanistan for well over a decade is leaving for Israel, fearing that the U.S. military’s promise to leave the country will leave a vacuum to be filled with radical groups such as the Taliban.

“I will watch on TV in Israel to find out what will happen in Afghanistan,” Zabulon Simantov told Arab News on Sunday.

Simantov, 61, said he will leave after this year’s High Holidays season in the fall.

His wife, a Jew from Tajikistan, and their two daughters have lived in Israel since 1998. But Simantov has stayed in his native Afghanistan to tend to its lone synagogue, located in the capital Kabul, through decades of violence and political turmoil, including a period of Taliban rule and the country’s war with the U.S.
So he's leaving the country, and closing the synagogue, because bin Laden's repulsive terror group to date was sadly never completely destroyed, and antisemitism in such an environment still prevails, as does its local cause, the Religion of Peace. This seems to be what's happening in the Islamic world in particular; Jews are leaving these countries till none are left, and the only thing that's a real shame is that, not only is antisemitism not defeated, but nobody even encouraged the religion of Judaism to be adapted by locals, despite how it could be a wonderful gift to the world. And that's decidedly a terrible shame. Similarly, it's a terrible that Joe Biden's allowing Afghanistan to decay.
