Government cares more about expulsion than child welfare

In a recent Jerusalem Post article (via Israpundit), they talk about how one-third of Israeli children live beneath poverty lines.

As pointed out by Israpundit, guess who's responsible? Yep, it's Sharon and the guv'ment with their expulsion plans. Using the police/military doesn't come (or go) cheap, and it shows just how, instead of spending money to ensure that poorer families get better interest rates, they're using it almost solely to ensure expulsion of Jews from Gaza, who could also live below poverty lines as well. And for whom there's no garuntee that they'll get any better later on if Sharon is going to go through with this. And they're certainly putting their expulsion plans on a higher level of importance than child and public welfare, that's for sure. Instead of trying to improve economy for the poor, they squander it all by concentrating entirely on unneccasary politics.

This shows what Sharon, and lest we forget, the Labor party, are really like. Anyone who thinks that they're really concerned about child welfare, or anybody's welfare for that matter, should think again upon contemplating this.
