The New York Times' jihad against US soldiers

The Mudville Gazette writes a very revealing topic about the biases that the low-grade NY Times has been conducting against soldiers serving in Iraq. (Hat tip: Media Lies.) This is very recommended for reading. But the part where the NYT really convicts itself is where, in this article here, where the editors say:
This sort of give-and-take is standard practice on the Op-Ed pages. "We try to clarify and improve copy," said Mr. Shipley. "We do this for the benefit of our contributors, many of whom are not professional writers".
My jaw just plain fell off my face in utter incredulity, reading this quite frank confession by the editors of the NY Times: it's not that they're not good writers, it's that the NYT's editors want to twist what they have to say, and the editors are also dishonest. It's actually been a moot point for years, but now, the truth is out. For real.

Michelle Malkin's got two very good topics offering more debunking of the NYT.

Others on the subject include GM's Corner, My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, Alpine Summit, Brutally Honest, Gibbie's Bioscience World, The Political Teen, Ace of Spades, Eric's Grumbles, Right-Wing of the Gods, The Conservablog, The Laughing Wolf, Theodore's World, The Collosus of Rhodey.

I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
