I can't blog anymore. I'm just too depressed
Simply devastating. The poll results so far? The Likud takes a downfall, to probably little more than 12 seats, and Yisrael Beitenu got more - 14. What does Kadima get? Something like 29 seats, and Labor 22.
And if this is what's to be, then as I told Allen Roth on One Jerusalem...I just can't blog anymore.
I have a little nephew whose life I fear for now, ditto his future, mine, and my family's.
Do I have a future? Does anyone else? I don't know. For now however, I just can't do it anymore.
I'm sorry.
I'm going to be spending my time now on books and visiting my nephew. But as far as blogging is concerned, I think that for now...it's over.
Again, I'm sorry.
I'd like to thank all visitors to this blog for their reading, and maybe someday, I'll come back to it. If there is a someday in the future.
For now...
Goodbye.

believe me I know how you feel, all too well and it is a good idea to take a break, but these results make it more incumbent to speak out, not less
if the election had gone well then we could retire maybe, but as things stand every voice is needed and your voice among them

Dont stop now.
You have to give information and hope to people.
As it says.. cry out loud and dont spare.
You and others like you cannot give up hope and leave people alone without help.
You have a calling to give the warning and never stop.
Consider what I say please.

Thank you for your kind comments, everybody.
I've thought about this, and yes, I suppose I'll have to reconsider what I just said.
I may take some time off, but yes, as you say, Lemon Lime, I shouldn't stop now.
With any luck, maybe tomorrow or the day after, I'll try again.

It's OK..cry in your beer for a bit and then come back. We need you!
Actually, I don't think the results were as depressing as you do, even though I think we agree on most issues Israeli. For one thing, it's obvious to me that most Israeli have FINALLY realized that peace with the Pals is an illusion.J O S H U A P U N D I T: Treading Water: The Israeli elections
Netanyahu was never going to win due to his persona, his past and the fact that a lot of Israelis cling to the pleasant illusion of disengagement.
The Pals themselves provided an answer to that by firing off the first Iran-supplied katyusha missle yesterday towards Ashkelon.
Meanwhile, Olmert is going to have to put together what at best will be a fragile coalition...Kadima only got 23% of the vote. I give it two years, max. And in that future election, kadima will be as much of a factor as shinui was in this one.
After that, the Israeli people are going to wake up to the fact that they have a war to win, and will react accordingly. Trust me on that!
Watch Avigdor Lieberman.
And look for a nationalist/Right coalition to develop.
B'Shalom
