Violent leftist student assaulted college Republicans
I think there's a case to be made for banning partisan politics at universities if this is what leftists are going to do, and start ruining themselves over their political viewpoints. First, here's a starting report from the Fredricksburg Free Lance-Star (via Michelle Malkin):
See, this is what I think makes a very good case for why people otherwise shouldn't be wasting their time on political matters. Why must leftists do this to themselves, when they could be much more confortable going to a movie house or an amusement park? Why must they waste their time in politics? This is exactly what's destroying creativity in entertainment too, because they're starting to prove incapable of keeping their political positions from impeding on their creative talent.
That's exactly why, if you ask me, leftists should be moving away from politics, and finding other, better things to do.
Update: the creepy man plead guilty, and was ordered to do community service (Hat tip: Michelle). He recieved a suspended sentence, but I think he should've done at least a month of jail time. Besides, isn't it illegal to impersonate army recruiters?

A Fredericksburg man was arrested Saturday on charges he assaulted three strangers at their home during a dispute over politics, police said. But now, in this followup provided by Michelle, the agenda is - he didn't like their standings, and the only way this muscle-bound dummy named Andrew Stone could think to solve his problems was by brawling around. He tracked the victims through Facebook, which shows that it can be almost as dangerous a venture as MySpace. And he should be completely ostracized for his crime. As seen in the screenshots of some of his other postings on Facebook, he's anti-semitic and pro-Islamic/terrorist as well.
According to a Fredericksburg police report, the suspect went to a home in the 900 block of Marye Street about 5:30 p.m. after finding one of the resident's name on a Republican Web site.
The resident and his two roommates engaged in a discussion with the suspect, though none of them had ever met or had contact with him before.
The argument got heated and the suspect learned that the young residents had not enlisted in the military and "put their all" behind the Republican-led war effort in Iraq, police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said.
The suspect refused to leave the home after repeatedly being asked to do so, police said. The three roommates were hit multiple times each as they attempted to get the suspect out of the door, authorities said.
The suspect continued to be aggressive and disorderly even after a city police officer arrived, the report states.
Andrew Stone, 23, was charged with three counts of assault and battery. A magistrate released Stone on his own recognizance and he was ordered to have no further contact with the victims.
It was not clear in the report what political agenda Stone was supporting.
