French children improving their English via the web

This article in Le Monde (via No-Pasaran) tells that French children who cannot wait for their favorite TV shows to come to local channels in France dubbed into French are watching them in English on the internet.

You know, that's actually better to watch a TV program or a movie in its native language, maybe with subtitles, because IMO, dubbing it causes it to lose some of its impact along the way. Over here, most American TV series were usually broadcast with subtitles over the years, and it hasn't changed much. The same may be so in Japan.

And I suggest that, when importing a live-action European TV series to North America, they do the same there too! Which could provide American children with the unique opportunity to learn foreign languages!
