Luggage explodes at Houston airport

A suitcase blew up at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (via Hot Air Headlines):
HOUSTON - A small explosion occurred in a piece of luggage at Bush Intercontinental Airport, according to officials. No injuries were reported.

Smoke was seen coming from the luggage shortly after it was unloaded off a jet around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Houston Airport System. The jet had just landed at the airport from Amsterdam.

Ground crews said they noticed something strange about a blue suitcase and were working to remove it when they heard a "pop" and smoke came pouring from it, according to an airport spokeswoman.
We may never get a clear answer to what happened here, but it's worth noting for now that the plane carrying it arrived from Holland, where even Abdulmutallab flew in from.
