I've paid attention to
the results so far - the narrow margin between Sarkozy and Hollande in the first round and Marine Le Pen's considerable victory in 3rd place - and it's going to remain to be seen just what happens. Now, the daughter of one of vilest so-called politicians France has ever had may have managed to stay clear of the kind of offensive language he used, and thus has done better than he ever did. However,
she seems determined to supplant Sarkozy and his own party, or more specifically, she seems hell bent on seeing Sarkozy fail. Now is that a good idea considering just what kind of crisis France is facing with Islamofascism on their own turf? Not at all.
For now, we have to hope that Sarkozy has what it takes to outdo that socialist Hollande, and he's going to have to make some serious guarantees that he'll curb immigration from Islamic countries, and beef up security for one and all around the country.
