Haredi Zionists of the 1930s

The Jewish Press has a picture from a religious Kibbutz in the 1930s where a Haredi synagogue is celebrating with a Torah scroll, and not only that, men and women are gathered together, hardly trying to segregate themselves in the absurd ways that have become the norm among many of today's Haredis.

In fact, the anti-Zionist Haredi movements of today like the Satmar would do well to take a look and consider that once, movements like the one from that article did have love for the land of Israel, via Zionism.
