How are pants "immodest"?
In one of the polling stations in the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Bayit Vegan in Jerusalem, voters complained that the station supervisor was immodestly dressed in pants instead of a skirt, which disrupted the process as local residents were unwilling to approach her, Maariv reported. At this point I'm on the verge of saying that, if those childish residents who consider a perfect stranger's right to choose what form of legwear she wants more important than their right to vote, they might as well not vote at all. How stupid - pants reveal far less than a skirt does, and there's only so many kinds of trousers made specially for women that look feminine too, so I don't see what their problem is other than clear contempt for modern women who aren't Haredi.
