Britain's Channel 4
recently aired a documentary about sexual abuse in the Haredi community there, and included
a taping of a rabbi named Ephraim Padwa telling a possible victim that he shouldn't go to the police to file complaints (don't expect them to give any serious focus to cases of sexual abuse in Muslim communities though). Some rabbis in that Haredi community have reacted with the sadly expected denial of reality responses, though there are others who did say they've tried to make the proper adjustments and help in setting up the services needed for helping victims.
The Hackney Gazette wrote more about the case this week, and at least one more apologist for Padwa was mentioned. Disgraceful.
