Korea: north threatens south with destruction

It looks like the successors of Kim Jong-Il are poised to bring pointless war back to the region:
PYONGYANG — North Korea dropped another bomb, so to speak, and upset the West in a diplomatic meeting held for the United Nations Conference on Disarmament. This public statement came within a week after North Korea conducted a nuclear test and had the West up in arms in protest.

North Korea’s diplomat Jon Yong Ryong said during the discussion, “As the saying goes, a new-born puppy knows no fear of a tiger. South Korea’s erratic behavior would only herald its final destruction,” North Korean diplomat Jon Yong Ryong told the meeting.
This could become a disaster if North Korea really does end up manning tanks and warplanes. It's a sad sign of how a world once thriving on capitalism and civil rights may now be sinking back into a supremacist quagmire.
