A most unacceptable sign in Mea Shearim
I took this picture from the seat of a bus going through Mea Shearim, and at the other end, not far from where the former Histadrut building is located, there's a large white sign seen at the far right of the photo, just next to the traffic light for crossing pedestrians, that says, "please don't pass through our neighborhoods in immodest dress". And yes, it is addressed at women.
Needless to say, that is unacceptable abuse of public space, and my query is whether the Jerusalem city hall knows about this and is willing to do anything about it? It's just as objectionable as any that are hung up in Beit Shemesh's Haredi neighborhoods.
(And yes, I realize that taking the pic the way I did on board a bus line doesn't yield the best results, so I hope it's all comprehensive enough.)
