All this just to stay out of the army:
Three men are suspected of operating a massive fraud scheme that could have cost the state tens of millions of shekels. The scheme, dubbed "National Treasure," targeted the National Insurance Institute and the Israel Defense Forces, among other agencies.And all that just to obtain plenty of money, pure socialist-welfare style; I get it. They should be ashamed of themselves for fleecing our tax dough.
The case was revealed following an extensive investigation by the police's central unit, in conjunction with representatives from the Jerusalem fraud unit at the National Insurance Institute and the IDF.
Three ultra-Orthodox men in their 20s and 30s have been arrested. They are suspected of having defrauded state authorities over the past two years by helping members of haredi communities nationwide receive disability slips from psychiatrists, allowing them to obtain military exemptions and receive monthly national insurance stipends.
