We could use a female police commissioner

Another positive from Netanyahu lately has been his support for a lady police chief:
The time has possibly come to appoint a female Chief of Israel Police, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech on Tuesday.

“It could be the right thing to do, and possibly the time has come, to appoint down the road a female chief of police,” Netanyahu said, a day after news broke that another top police commander, Deputy Commissioner Nissim Mor, is being investigated following a sexual misconduct complaint by a subordinate female officer.

“I want to advance this idea. It would be a refreshing change, a female chief of the Israel Police,” he added.
I fully agree on that. As for the commander who committed sexual harrassment, he should be fired if he's guilty.

Update: Elena Sztokman has an article about the male-dominated culture in the Israeli police, and how it may now be changing.
