Attorney-general says appointing Aryeh Deri a minister is difficult

Deri's conviction on corruption has been brought up, with good reason:
"The decision [to appoint him minister] causes some legal difficulties due to Deri's criminal past," Weinstein wrote, referring to corruption charges for which the Shas leader spent two years in prison before being released in 2002.Of course, and he honestly doesn't deserve to be a politician any longer. If a petition's been launched against an appointment for him, it's okay, because he is a bad lot, and is bound to continue that way.
