Tel-Chai Nation

Israel, much like the fortress of Tel-Chai that Jospeh Trumpeldor fought to defend against Arab conquerors in 1920, finds itself beseiged by enemies both within and without. Terrorists, would-be friends inside and outside Israel, and even bad government officials. Here are the discussions of one proud Zionist resident on the state of the nation and abroad.

A British woman visiting Israel was stabbed to death while riding on the light rail system by an Arab from the east side, and even the local press seem to be downplaying the hard subjects, making it all out to be simply "mental illness":
A British woman in her 20s was killed after being stabbed in a terror attack on the Jerusalem light rail, early Friday afternoon.

The woman was initially in critical condition following the attack and suffered from multiple stab wounds to her upper body, Magen David Adom reported, but later succumbed to her wounds, according to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem.

According to Israel Police, the woman was reportedly a student tourist from Britain. British news company Sky News has confirmed on Friday afternoon that the victim was indeed a British national.

Army Radio reported that the suspected terrorist is a 57-year-old mentally-ill man named Jamil Tamimi, a resident of the Jerusalem's Ras al-Amud neighborhood. He was apprehended by officers and transferred for questioning.

According to an Israel Police spokeswoman, the suspect was a passenger on the light rail. As the train approached Kikar Tzahal, he reportedly stood up from his seat, pulled out a knife and stabbed a fellow passenger.

A police officer who happened to be on the train apprehended the terrorist.

Two additional people were also wounded in the incident, including a 50-year-old man and a pregnant woman in her 30s, who suffered an injury to her stomach when the light rail made an abrupt stop. The 50-year-old man was injured while attempting to flee the scene. Both were transferred to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Here's a more telling example how the press is avoiding serious issues:
The terrorist was identified as Jamil Tamimi, 57, from the Ras al-Amoud neighborhood of East Jerusalem, by the Shin Bet security service.

“According to an initial investigation, it seems he suffers from mental problems,” a police spokesperson said.

Earlier this year, Tamimi tried to commit suicide by swallowing a razor blade, according to the Shin Bet. He was also found guilty of sexually abusing his daughter in 2011.

“This is another case, out of many, where a Palestinian who is suffering from personal, mental or moral issues choose to carry out a terror attack in order to find a way out of their problems,” the Shin Bet said in a statement.
And this somehow obscures his potential adherence to Islamofascism? Also note how the first report uses the word "killed" rather than "murdered", which has the bad effect of downplaying the seriousness of the issues. The poor woman's been done a disfavor by these press sources, and to be sure, by the UK news sources as well.
