Molestor Malka Leifer denied bail
The Haredi child molestor Malka Leifer, who fled Australia to Israel and faked mental illness to avoid deportation, has been denied bail by the court:
The Jerusalem District Court denied bail on Sunday for a former principal of an ultra-Orthodox girls’ school in Melbourne facing extradition from Israel over allegations she molested dozens of schoolchildren.On which note, some more chilling information's turned up that Leifer didn't abandon her repellent conduct, even in Israel:
Malka Leifer, who is wanted on 74 charges of child sexual abuse in Australia, was arrested in February following a police undercover operation to investigate her claim that she is mentally unfit to appear in court.
[...] Following the handing down of Sunday’s ruling, one of Leifer’s alleged victims, Dassi Erlich, posted on Facebook that she could “breathe a sigh of relief for another day.”
“We are so grateful she is in custody and unable to continue harming the vulnerable,” she wrote.
Separately Sunday, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that Leifer has continued to sexually assault children while in Israel.I can guess why - insular dictations of the gurus at the enclave prevent it. It's clear the "rabbis" into whose supervision she was released had no intention of ensuring she wouldn't continue her nasty ways, and that's one more reason why, not only can Leifer not be released again, the "rabbis" themselves cannot be trusted to supervise these felons because it's clear they had no intention of restricting her access to children. A truly abominable bunch. Leifer's extradition back Down Under will hopefully come soon, and she should never be allowed back. In fact, even the "rabbis" who were supposedly in charge of supervising her release should be exiled as well. Israel shouldn't have any place for them.
In the report, a resident of Emmanuel claims the former principal molested his daughter and says that Leifer has been privately tutoring other children in the ultra-Orthodox settlement.
However, the man identified only as Daniel has not pressed charges.
