Malawi will be first African country with embassy in Jerusalem
The Jerusalem Post (via Jihad Watch) announced the African state of Malawi will be opening an embassy in Jerusalem, another country to follow the US in doing so:
Malawi announced on Tuesday it would become the first African nation to open an embassy in Jerusalem.I'm very pleased this is taking place. It's another example of how things are improving for Israel's foreign relations.
While visiting Israel, Malawi Foreign Minister Eisenhower Mkaka described the decision as a “bold and significant step.”
Standing next to Mkaka in Jerusalem, Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi stated, “I look forward to your embassy opening soon, and I’m sure that more African leaders will follow this decision.”
