Four more peace deals on the way, and 2 more embassies opening in Jerusalem
Israel is on the way to making peace with four more countries in the region, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday. It's clear Jordan must be hoping to scuttle everything by contrast, for Joe Biden's sake. But some could say Biden and the Democrats are the reason why these new deals are coming into place, as other countries seem to realize what's going wrong in the USA now.
“I brought four peace agreements, and there are another four on the way,” he said in an interview with Ynet. “I talked about one of them yesterday.”
“One of the leaders in the region” had called him on Monday night, and they spoke for 45 minutes, he said.
[...] Ties between Israel and Saudi Arabia have grown closer in recent years. Netanyahu met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in November, and they considered meeting in Abu Dhabi last week. However, Netanyahu’s trip to the UAE was delayed due to a diplomatic imbroglio between Israel and Jordan.
And in other promising news, Kosovo's going to open an embassy in Jerusalem:
Kosovo has officially opened its new embassy in Jerusalem, six week after it formally established diplomatic relations with Israel. The Czech Republic's also opened a special office:
"The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Jerusalem will be strongly committed to increasing bilateral cooperation and strengthening the international profile of the state of Kosovo," Kosovo's Foreign Ministry said in a press statement on March 14.
The new embassy was opened by Ines Demiri, Kosovo's charge d'affaires in Israel, because representatives from Kosovo were unable to attend due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Czech Republic opened the Jerusalem office of its embassy Thursday at a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis and Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi. This too is a good sign, and shows that the leftists' antics are only finally convincing these sources why it's better to take positive directions like these, and not what the left wants.
“We keep our promise,” said Babis, standing in the shadow of the historic YMCA building in the Talbieh neighborhood of Jerusalem. “The Czech Republic will have a full-fledged diplomatic mission here in Jerusalem. It will deal with a lot — ranging from politics, economic cooperation, consular agenda, and other topics. It will have a permanent staff and work under the lead of our embassy in Tel Aviv.”
