More details of the injury sustained by a mother during Haredi riots in Mea Shearim
Police continue to investigate the violent riot in Jerusalem Thursday night in which a haredi woman was seriously injured when protestors crushed her with a garbage containerHere's more regarding the terrible misfortune the mother had:
Today (Sunday) the police issued a gag order on the details of the investigation. According to the order issued, it is prohibited to publish any details of the investigation and any details that might identify the suspects.
The Kikar Hashabbat website published video of the incident in which the container can be seen being moved across the street. A fire was set inside the container.
A new video came to light on Sunday morning, showing the moment the garbage can which seriously injured a woman started to roll before catching fire during haredi (ultra-Orthodox) riots in Jerusalem. Now, look what all this senseless violence led to. All over petty issues. A curfew and cordon of these neighborhoods is going to be needed if that's what it takes to crack down on such criminal offenses. This article also says:
Mirel Dzalovsky, the 40-year-old woman who was injured during the riots by extremist protestors, is still in serious condition, unconscious and intubated after she got hit by the rolling and burning garbage can that was pushed in her direction.
She was hit on the head and was evacuated to the hospital for treatment, her condition initially being categorized as good, but later it worsened and is now recognized as serious but stable.
[...] Protests by ultra-Orthodox protestors have turned into riots on a few occasions during the last few years. Especially when an issue clashed with the ultra-Orthodox worldview, protests escalated quickly.
Examples include opposition to induction notices to the IDF or the light rail construction in Jerusalem over the last couple of years, where acts of vandalism caused tens of thousands of shekels in damage from tearing down fences, burning garbage bins and sabotaging infrastructure.
Jerusalem police said they are seeing a rise in violence from ultra-Orthodox.The perpetrators who're arrested should be sent to prison and forced to pay heavy fines. Most angering of all is how they take attention away from the more alarming problems with Islamofascism. And no doubt, the gurus who put the Haredi extremists up to this did it entirely on purpose.
"These riots have nothing to do with legitimate protest. Vandalizing, arson, throwing rocks, blocking roads, hurling dumpsters down the street, those are not means of protest in a civilized society," the police said in a statement.
