Likud politician Gideon Saar, who once challenged Benjamin Netanyahu for leadership on a very unaltruistic basis, announced he's quitting the party to form his own on which to challenge the premier:

In a move that could shake up the upcoming election, Likud MK Gideon Sa’ar will be leaving Likud and forming a new party that he will use to run for prime minister, he announced in a speech to the public on social media on Tuesday night.

Sa’ar said he could no longer remain in the same party as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The Likud has changed and became a tool serving the personal interests of its leader, including in his criminal trial,” Sa’ar said. “I can no longer support the government under Netanyahu and I can no longer be a member of Likud under his leadership. I say with regret, as someone who saw him as the right leader to lead the country and served in senior roles in his governments, Israel needs unity and stability now and Netanyahu cannot provide either one.”

Ah, so he buys into the false charges of bribery leveled against the premier, and is willing to use them as a weapon to serve his own trivial pursuits. That's low. Amnon Lord had the following to say about this dummy's direction:

Sa'ar's challenging of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu comes on the heels of a survey by Makor Rishon among right-wing voters. It found that 80% of respondents believe that "the right-wing government has succeeded in implementing its security policy."

Of these, about 59% said they believed it "to a large extent" and over 70% believe that Netanyahu is "successfully implementing the right-wing worldview."

These figures completely contradict Sa'ar's main argument that Netanyahu is exploiting the Likud to push his personal interests.

What they reveal is that Saar is a complete ingrate, and isn't even thankful Netanyahu's worked hard to get vaccines for Corona processed so that we can hopefully end this pandemic sooner, and therefore better. That's why Saar would do better to just retire from politics, because anybody that ignorant doesn't belong there anymore.
