Ex-terrorists have no free speech
History News Network (via IRIS Blog) reports that the Princeton University has cancelled a speaking event with three former terrorists who wanted to explain the evils of terrorism. The university's excuse was:
The Daily Princetonian now reports that the event was not cancelled, just postponed. However, as IRIS now points out in extra updates, it'll be at the Radisson Hotel in New Jersey instead.
I'll have to say though, that if such bad people are going to run those universities the US, then nobody with sense should be wasting their time giving speeches there.

PRINCETON, NJ: In clear violation of free speech, Princeton University has cancelled a speaking event by three former Middle East terrorists because it says that the use of the word "terrorist" in the promotion for the event is “too inflammatory.”Yet, when the same university hires a PLO supporter as a professor at their campus, that's okay, is it? Here's an article that tells how Rashid Khalidi falsified his background and committed plagiarism.

Besides the plagiarism, the original article by Asali [and of course Khalidi's plagriarism] contains several clear falsehoods as well as dubious claims. Asali himself worked very hard over the years falsifying Jerusalem's history, assiduously working to minimize any reference in the articles and books that he wrote and/or compiled as an editor, to the people of Israel and to Jerusalem as Israel's capital well into the Roman period [135 CE] when Hadrian destroyed the Jewish city and rebuilt a new city on the site named Aelia Capitolina in order to spite the Jews [see historian Felix Abel on this matter of name change]. Both Asali and Khalidi are crooks. Asali for writing and in at least one case, compiling dishonest articles into a book. And Khalidi for plagiarizing him without attribution. This is contemporary Arab historical scholarship.
