Terrorists attack Ashkelon and an army base
In latest news of terrorist attacks, the Hamas attacked an army base with more Kassam rockets, and Ashkelon was hit three times this week with missiles:
Israeli troops shot and killed three suspected Palestinian terrorists, including the local leader of a small radical faction, during an arrest raid Thursday in the Samarian city of Nablus, witnesses and the military said. And even Shaul Mofaz doesn't seem to be making really convincing efforts as a defense minister to defend the population, does he?
Hours later, militants in the Gaza Strip launched a homemade rocket into an Israeli military base, slightly wounding five soldiers, the army said.
Soldiers entered Nablus early Thursday in pursuit of wanted men, and opened fire on a four-story building where terrorists were holed up, the military said. One wanted man and two other terrorists were shot as they tried to escape, it added.
Witnesses identified one of the dead men as Bashar Khanani, the Nablus leader of the small Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
The other two were Anas Al-Sheikh and Ahmed Jiyousi, both members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, a militant faction linked to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas' ruling Fatah party.

Terrorists in Gaza often fire the homemade rockets at Israeli towns, and this week, they hit the Ashkelon area three times.
Since Israel pulled out of the Gaza Strip this summer, the terrorists have been able to launch their rockets from farther north in Gaza, where Israeli settlements once stood, making Ashkelon easier to reach.
