With quiet now in Hebron, disturbing experiences of residents are now in discussion
Police harassment of Jews in Hevron is not a new phenomenon. Long-time residents David Shirel and Shani Horowitz tell their harrowing stories of the past two days.Read the whole thing. On a related note, it wouldn't surprise if indeed, the crumbly government's assistance to the expellees from Gaza was just so much transparent campaign gimmickry. (Update: here's a petition to reopen Hebron to all Jewish residents, and, if you ask me, Christian tourists too.)
Update: the city is now open again, as it should be, for everyone. Unfortunately, brutal arrests are still taking place.
