In attempting to fabricate reports of "Islamophobia", NBC did little more than to embarrass themselves by trying to frame NASCAR fans as such. Michelle Malkin was forwarded a newsletter in which it was said that NBC were looking for Muslim males to participate in a staging of a news broadcast.

Then, NBC officially confirmed - or admitted - what they were trying to stage. And Little Green Footballs provided some info on Tarek el-Messidi, who may have sent out the e-mail soliciting the network's intentions (Sugiero also found the man on MSN here).

NASCAR has already panned NBC for their dirty tricks, and by now, even the ultra-leftist AP had to report upon it.

Another reason why not to waste time on the peacock network. What's more, as Michelle points out, NBC is still trying to stage more news, and IMO, that's certainly reason to boycott even their sports reports on TV.
