On Qana and why it shouldn't matter
The news has already come out about the MSM's latest attempt for smearing Israel, the deaths of children and collapse of a building in Qana in Lebanon (Hat tip: Rhymes With Right). But let us be clear here: that's what happens when the Hezbollah and Islam hide behind civilians. And if these were Muslims, well then, there's most likely a certain form of indoctrination that goes on that causes them to put themselves in harm's way.
Most surprising is this article by Alan Dershowitz, whom I usually don't like, but who makes a point here about the Lebanese government's being a puppet of Syria. And if they are, well then, is it any wonder why they too may have to be deposed of?
Note also that, as the IDF has said, not only did the building collapse hours after the raid, but the Hezbollah had also been firing missiles from right within Qana itself.
Of course, that doesn't mean that Ehud Olmert and Amir Peretz are worthy of their positions in government. A co-worker of mine today said that Olmert seems to want to leave Lebanon. And the explanation for anyone who's not sure is because, simply put, Olmert, just like Peretz, is a leftist, certainly on issues regarding the Land of Israel. That's why, while people everywhere are doing the right thing by supporting Israel, it'd be a good idea not to actually extend said support to Olmert himself.
Here's another article on the facts surrounding the building collapse (via Hot Air and Michelle Malkin). And here's a list of pictures of the Islamofascists who're burning Israeli and American flags, out of hatred for Israel and the west, and not because they're angry about the deaths of civilians. That's just the smokescreen for it all. It's only because they hope that the deaths themselves will service them in their war against Israel and the rest of the west that they're exploiting them.
And, if there's any other important item here, it's these video recordings of the Hezbollah operating in Qana, which were taken by IDF filming experts. Many thanks to Allahpundit for posting them. (One Jerusalem's also got a recording, and an article from the Melbourne Herald-Sun with pics that also show that the Hezbollah was operating in Qana.)
Update: One Jerusalem's got an audio recording with Michael Oren of the Shalem Center discussing the Lebanon war. It's about 35 minutes long.
Update 2: you should also check this topic by One Jerusalem asking if Condi Rice is abandoning the demand that the two abducted IDF soldiers be freed. Is she?
Update 3: see also this entry by Michelle that features a leaflet by the IDF warning civilians to clear out of certain places in Lebanon while the army goes in to fight, something that terrorists by contrast seem unlikely to ever distribute, if at all.
Others on the subject include Jihad Watch, Macmind, Euphoric Reality, Debbie Schlussel, Tigerhawk, The Captain's Journal, Power Line, EU Referendum, Lump on a Blog, It Shines for All, Old War Dogs, The Right Angle, Clark Mountain Musings.
