French election, second round today

At No Pasaran, they report that election turnout in France reached 34 percent by noon. That's very impressive.
Now, it remains to be seen who the winner will be.
And it looks like Sarkozy is indeed to be the winner, seeing the results provided by Romandie, Les Temps, and La Libre (also via No Pasaran).
And now, the results: Sarkozy wins with 53 percent, in contrast to Royal, who got about 47 percent (Le Monde calls it 53.5 to 46.5). Phew!

The agencies said the conservative won 53 percent of the vote amid massive turnout, dashing Socialist Segolene Royal's hopes of being elected France's first woman president. The projections were based on vote counts from representative samples of hundreds of polling stations across the country.
