Vital questions are still needed
As I have already noted, the commanders of this operation – including Defence Minister Ehud Barak – clearly believed the flotilla was merely full of anarchists, leftists and other useful idiots. How can it possibly have happened that they didn’t know the Turkish terrorist IHH were involved? And if they did, how can they have made such a dreadful error of military judgment?Absolutely correct. Even Barak may have a lot to answer to for potentially jeopardizing a lot of soldiers' lives. The commanders also owe an apology to their platoons for screwing up at their end. And we cannot allow a hostile foreign media to get in the way of dealing with barbarians.
Turkey's growing ties with Iran are also something to ponder:
...Turkey agreed to take 1200 grams of Iran’s ‘surplus’ uranium for enrichment – thus providing the fig leaf for Iran’s genocide bomb. The IHH are Turkish terrorists linked to al Qaeda. Turkey is now threatening to up the ante by providing a Turkish naval escort for the next Gaza flotilla. Go figure.First, I hope the military is going to be ready to deal with any further terrorist flotillas and to sink their boats if they turn up again. Second, this is a very serious problem regarding Turkey's deals with Iran, because what if Turkey too has nuclear sites in preparation, and could pose an equal threat by launching missiles at Israel and other decent countries.
Update: in case I hadn't posted it before, Hot Air's got a video and some other items where Netanyahu defends the IDF's right to self-defense against the boat barbarians.

An Islamist Turkey also poses a threat to Europe as well to Israel. The Europeans do not want a radical Muslim Turkey in Europe when they already have enough trouble dealing with restive Muslim populations at home.
