Free speech under threat in Australia
Speaking of Mark Steyn, he's written about how Andrew Bolt of the Melbourne Herald-Sun has been persecuted as well over trumped charges. It's astonishing to see just how many countries outside the US (and who knows how long even that'll last) lack proper protections for free speech. Steyn asks anyone who can to show their support for Bolt, and says that:
Andrew Bolt should not be having to fight this case. Nor should Lars Hedegaard, any more than Ezra Levant or Ken Whyte should have had to in Canada. In some of the oldest free societies on earth, we are losing freedom of speech - and, when you no longer have the freedom to speak out, the loss of other freedoms will surely follow.Correct you are there.
