That was very stupid thing to do, to attack suspected illegal immigrants

To understand this case, here it is in point:
About 100 people gathered in downtown Jerusalem on Tuesday to protest an arson attack on a building with more than 50 foreign workers a day earlier.

The arson was one of the most violent attacks against migrants in the past month and the first sign that the anti- African sentiment is expanding from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

There has been a rise in tensions between African migrants and Israeli residents of south Tel Aviv in the past month. In Jerusalem, four people were injured on Monday morning when an arsonist set fire to the first floor hallway of a building on Jaffa Road.
Well that certainly was a disgusting thing to do, since what if any of the people endangered by that arson were of Ethiopian descent, who, unlike the ones from Sudan and Etritrea, are quite legal? I suspect though, that some of the antagonists were actually leftists, making those politicians who visited the protest seem more like opportunists (though given the Jpost's own standings, it figures that they'd highlight leftists far more and are less likely to do the same with rightists.

The misguided response to the rape assaults in Tel Aviv last month will no doubt be exploited by anti-Israelists abroad, one more reason why the way the reaction was handled was disturbing. I hope they'll reevaluate their approach.
