British may be making it illegal for dogs to bite burglars
And who would go to jail if this becomes law, or already is? The owners. The UK Telegraph (via The American Thinker) says:
[The] Control of Dogs (Wales) Bill contains the provision for owners to be jailed for that period if a dog injuries another pet or a person, and to be given an unlimited fine.Of course, but the people in charge of that body of government are so insane and uncaring you can't expect them to recognize a person's right to defend their property from intruders.
The current Animal Welfare Act provides for owners to be jailed for a maximum of six months and fined up to £20,000.
The draft legislation, out to consultation until March 1, provides no defence if a dog bites a burglar, or if the person bitten provokes the dog.
The Kennel Club believes the Welsh Government had "got this one wrong".
Dog owners do have a responsibility with their pets, but they also have the right to guard their property and isn't owning a guard dog part of that?

That's pathetic! But that's modern progressivism for you... they protect the criminal scum, but punish the victims who are acting in self-defense.
