Rabbi Ovadia Yosef's health shouldn't be exploited

First, I want to say that I hope Shas' spiritual leader recovers from the minor stroke he suffered 2 days ago, and wish him refuah shlema. However, if the Shas party intends to exploit his state of health in the last week before elections as propaganda against army recruitment, as this news (via Life in Israel) signals, that's wrong, and sets a very poor example.
We all want Yosef to be well, but his health has nothing to do with proving political stances or whom anyone should vote for in the election, and Shas should not be taking advantage of an old man for political purposes.
