Two more arrests made in investigation of Merah murders in France
One arrest was made in Les Izards, a rundown neighborhood of Toulouse where Merah spent part of his childhood, France's prosecutor’s office said. They have a lot of explaining to do about why they acted so irresponsibly, which is in fact how they've acted for more than a decade now.
The second man arrested was reported to be a serving French soldier, whose barracks are based in the town of Castres, some 80km from Toulouse.
[...] Since Merah's death in a police siege last year, France's security services have come under scrutiny for previously knowing but underestimating the threat Merah originally posed.
Detectives strongly suspect Merah worked with accomplices who they fear are still at large and may pose a security threat.
