Blaming even sources who could be just as much for freedom of religious practice does not help WotW
...just because Peggy was the victim of a graffiti attack does not give Shira Pruce, spokeswoman of Women of the Wall, the right to make false accusations against her political opponents before any police investigation has been conducted, especially when there is zero evidence indicating that there is any connection between the recent media exposure connecting the Women of the Wall leadership to anti-Israel groups and the graffiti.Pretty strange she would, given that some on the right did try to help them, and this is how they return the favor? All Pruce is doing now is signaling her group has more of an agenda than a really altruistic motivation.
Speaking of which, the police bungled the job - maybe on purpose - in how and why they'd arrested WotW members more than a year ago. At the time, it was because of prayer customs, not because they were disturbing the peace. If they'd arrested them for the latter, they might've had what to go by. But because they had to do it for almost the same reasons they'd harrassed Jews who wanted to visit the Temple Mount, so they gave as bad an impression of themselves as WotW are now.
As one of the sources I linked to earlier mentioned, there's a possibility that the crime was faked, and if this is how their leaders are going to act, I wouldn't put it past them. Too bad that instead of focusing through a glass clearly, they have to fog it up with foolish grudges and openly suggest their only concern is hating the right.
