Now the extremists in Beit Shemesh protest the draft dodger's arrest
Haredi extremists protested violently in Beit Shemesh on Sunday against the ongoing detention of a yeshiva student for failing to report for military duty and the arrest of a second haredi man for the same reason. While it may not be all of them, there is reason to believe quite a few of them still don't sign documents, which could complicate drafting. No thanks to tax money exploiters like Auerbach, of course. Boy, and those scum in Beit Shemesh even have to brawl once again and possibly commit arson like what happened a few months ago. And, they even went to the prison site to protest again:
It emerged on Sunday that Mordechai Kennig, aged 18 and a resident of Neveh Ya’acov in Jerusalem, was arrested last Wednesday and detained at the IDF’s Prison 6, near Atlit, south of Haifa.
Kennig is a yeshiva student in Kfar Hassidim near Haifa and adheres to the rulings of hard-line haredi leader Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach, who has instructed yeshiva students not to present themselves to IDF enlistment offices when called by the army.
[...] In response to the continued detention of Elashvilli, and possibly to the news of Kennig’s arrest, members of extremist haredi factions resident in Beit Shemesh took to the streets Sunday afternoon to protest.
Several hundred haredi residents attempted to block the main Nahar Hayarden road in Ramat Beit Shemesh Bet.
Police arrived swiftly at the scene to disperse the protesters, but the confrontation became violent and four haredim were arrested for attacking policemen and disturbing the peace, the police announced.
“This is clearly a continuation of the tensions within the haredi community over service in the IDF,” said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld. “Police are prepared in all haredi neighborhoods to prevent future disturbances.”
The majority of haredi yeshiva students currently report to IDF enlistment offices when instructed to do so but do not sign any documents.
Several hundred haredi men from radical factions within the ultra-Orthodox community demonstrated outside the IDF’s Prison 6 Monday morning in protest at the ongoing detention of two yeshiva students who were arrested for failing to report for military duty.A perfect example of what poor education leads to. No doubt the extremists who poisoned their minds this badly must be smirking and grinning from ear to ear at how they corrupted a lot of souls within their communities. The Knesset should speak out against this.
The protest was organized by the anti-Zionist Eda Haredit communal organization, while members of radical hassidic group Toldot Aharon also participated, as well as members of the haredi community associated with hardline leader Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach. [...]
Protestors held up signs saying “We will all go to prison” and declaring their willingness to “give up their lives” for the struggle against haredi enlistment to the army.
One sign held aloft by a demonstrator read “Behold I am ready and willing to give up my life and to rot in jail [in order] not to go to the impure army.”
