Haredi group holds barbecue near Holocaust Memorial site, and Muslims light fireworks

If this is an accurate report, then again, we have a case of Haredi moonbats going out of their way to insult the rest of the country on a day of mourning:
Israeli police have arrested two teachers responsible for a large group of ultra-Orthodox students who held a barbecue near a Holocaust monument on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Security forces, called to a park in the northern city of Beit She'an on Sunday evening, found some 100 haredi yeshiva students from a Jerusalem school eating and singing karaoke songs near the memorial site dedicated to fallen soldiers and victims of the Nazi genocide.

The festive atmosphere was in stark contrast with the mood in most of the country, as Israel was preparing solemn ceremonies to remember the 6 million Jews who perished in the Holocaust during World War II.

Police ordered the teenage students to disperse. The two teachers, aged 26 and 38, were taken for questioning on suspicion of offending religious sensitivities, Arutz Sheva7 reported.

The teachers reportedly tried to justify themselves by saying that they were simply looking for a nice place for the students to eat dinner. The group was on a school trip to Park Hayarden, north of the Sea of Galilee.
Since when is Holocaust Memorial a day or evening for that? Any fun they could have on a day of mourning should not be held around sites of seriousness.
Many ultra-Orthodox Jews do not recognise Israel's Holocaust Remembrance Day and similar incidents are known to have happened in the past.
That's the sickening thing about some Haredi movements, that they even disregard the Haredis who perished in WW2. And they're not the only ones: even some Muslims disrespected the memorial day with fireworks in Lod:
Tensions also flared between Jews and Arabs in the mixed city of Lod after fireworks were set off near the mayor’s car while he was on his way to a Holocaust remembrance event.

Mayor Yair Revivo got out of his car to try and stop a group of Arab men from shooting the fireworks toward Jewish areas of the city.

“To set off fireworks, which are a symbol of celebration, specifically on this day — that is an outrage,” Revivo said.

He told Ynet his attempt to intervene was met with hostility, and police had to come extract him from the scene.

Police detained seven people on suspicion of attacking the mayor.
So there's an example of Muslims not identifying with the Jewish nation's tragedies. And on the Haredis again, there was an instance of insult to injury in Jerusalem too:
Holocaust Remembrance Day is marked in Israel with memorial events and ceremonies around the country. By law, leisure sites, including restaurants and eateries are closed on the eve of the day.

In Sacher Park in Jerusalem, several barbecues were lit by ultra-Orthodox families who adamantly defended their actions, Walla reported on Monday.

“Remembrance Day is your event, not ours,” one ultra-Orthodox man said. “If you keep the Sabbath then we will mark your events.” Another explained that nonreligious people often have barbecues on Saturdays which, for the ultra-Orthodox, is a forbidden activity.
That's still no excuse for disrespecting the memory of victims of savagery. And since when was Holocaust Memorial Day an "event"? It's a memorial, and those who took the path of contempt dare suggest otherwise? Sick.
