If it's not "racist" to oppose homosexuality, why is it "racist" to oppose Islam?
A writer for the Daily Beast (via Yahoo) had the audacity to acknowledge that homosexuality and race are different things, and opposing homosexual practice doesn't make you a "racist". Well that's great they're willing to admit that.
But if it's not racist to oppose homosexuality, why do quite a few leftists think it is to oppose Islamic practice? This article doesn't get into that and has no explicit mention of Islam. It only says, "all three of the Abrahamic faith traditions condemn homosexual love, and all of them have theologies that see marriage as intrinsically heterosexual". But that's as far as it goes, and fails to mention the double-standard in Islam that condones male-on-male child molestation.
In other words, what we have here is a leftist who fell back on cowardice and wouldn't clearly mention Islam's own homophobia, if it matters, so truly, he hasn't accomplished anything. And again, nobody on the left's ever been honest enough to admit that opposition to Islam can only be considered an anti-religious position, not some ridiculous claim of racism.
