Socialism continues to have a terrible effect in New York, this time under Zohran Mamdani

3 Democrat candidates for Congress in NYC who were endorsed by their first Muslim mayor, Mamdani, won primaries, including at the expense of an incumbent who's reportedly pro-Israel:
Zohran Mamdani’s growing influence over the Democratic party was on show in New York City on Tuesday as three congressional candidates endorsed by New York’s democratic socialist mayor won closely watched primaries, while voters in Maryland, Utah and South Carolina cast ballots in primaries and runoffs.

Brad Lander, the former New York City comptroller who also ran for mayor last year before endorsing Mamdani, won his race comfortably, defeating the Democratic representative Dan Goldman.

Another Mamdani ally, Claire Valdez, a state lawmaker and former union organizer, defeated Antonio Reynoso, the preferred successor of retiring Democratic Representative Nydia Velázquez in New York’s seventh district, encompassing parts of Brooklyn and Queens. And in a stunning upset, the public defense investigator Darializa Avila Chevalier toppled Representative Adriano Espaillat, the powerful five-term incumbent who chairs the Congressional Hispanic caucus, in the state’s diverse 13th congressional district, which covers Upper Manhattan and parts of the Bronx.
What makes this additionally disturbing is that Goldman was attacked in a social media post by Poetica Coffee, which is reportedly owned by Uzbek managers, for his pro-Israel positions. The DOJ opened an investigation into this incident, but sadly, the damage is done in more ways than one, given that Mamdani saw success with his repellent endorsements.

It would definitely seem much of NYC's residents are now revoltingly in favor of both socialism, and Islamism, if what Mamdani oversaw says anything. This is another terrible defeat for 911 Families, and also pro-Israel advocates.

Does Vietnam-era mentality continue in the USA?

If the following poll data says anything, the mindset opposed to seriously defeating the Iranian dictatorship continues in the USA:
A majority of Americans want the United States to end the war with Iran now, according to a recent CBS News/YouGov poll.

The survey, which was taken Wednesday through Friday, asked participants, “The Conflict with Iran: What Should the U.S. Do Now?” CBS reported Sunday.

Seventy-eight percent said the nation should end the conflict now, while 22 percent said continue the conflict until Iran gives up more: The poll also surveyed Republicans, asking them, “What Should the U.S. Do Now?”

Sixty percent of all Republicans said the nation should end the conflict now and 56 percent of “MAGA” Republicans agreed. Forty percent of Republicans said the nation should continue the conflict until Iran gives up more, while 44 percent of “MAGA” Republicans agreed.

“This CBS News/YouGov survey was conducted with a nationally representative sample of 2,519 U.S. adults interviewed between June 17-19, 2026. The sample was weighted to be representative of adults nationwide according to gender, age, race, and education, based on the U.S. Census American Community Survey and Current Population Survey, as well as 2024 presidential vote. The margin of error is ±2.4 points,” the article noted.
Now this is coming from a MSM business, so for all we know, it could be faked and distorted. Even so, if there's anything to it, it'll just further make this a most discouraging situation, considering there appears to be a sad case of those in the USA who won't study reality seriously. There's already people in Israel who're understandably worried about the deal with Iran, and if it leaves the current dictatorship in place, that's what's bad.

Diplomacy is doomed

According to senator Lindsey Graham:
Graham said, “We’re not giving any money to Iran that can change the course of history to try diplomacy. Is the MOU problematic? Yeah. I’d rather try diplomacy than take it off the table. The money Iran gets is not going to change the future of Iran. It’s not enough to reconstruct the country. If you don’t have a diplomatic path through the MOU, then you have to go to war or some other form of coercion. Let’s try this. Let’s try a diplomatic solution. I think it’s going to fail. What happens next? I spent four and a half hours with President Trump on Friday. Here’s what I think will happen next. If this deal fails, President Trump is going to take the Strait of Hormuz over by force.

He added, “The United States will control the Strait of Hormuz. We’ll charge a fee for all those who go three through to pay for the operation. And we’re going to expand the Abraham Accords and calendar year 2026. We’re going to get Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords, which is the biggest change in 5000 years in the Middle East. And if Iran can test control of the Strait of Hormuz by the United States will obliterate them. So to all the people listening, if this diplomatic effort fails. President Trump is going to take the Strait of Hormuz. We’re going to run it. We’re going to try to get Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords and the Arab-Israeli conflict in 2026. And if Iran continues to attack Israel and Lebanon, the new policy will be will hit Iran. So to the Iranians, if you’re listening, when you use Hezbollah to attack Israel, I think the new policy will be we will attack Iran.”
For now, if any money is given to Iran, that's wrong. But Graham's got a point that diplomacy is not a good option, and definitely not if it wasn't used in the approach to Afghanistan and Iraq years ago.

JD Vance sets a most divisive example

I don't know what exactly is in the final "deal" between the USA and Iran, something I'll try to comment on another time, but for now, vice president J.D. Vance is not improving the situation with attacks on Israel in regards to Lebanon:
The harsh criticism leveled against Israel by U.S. Vice President JD Vance has sparked angry reactions.

Republican Senator Rick Scott of Florida wrote: “Israel is our greatest ally and strongest partner in the Middle East. The evil Iranian regime wants to wipe BOTH of us off the face of the Earth. That will never happen because we will ALWAYS stand together."

“America’s unwavering support for Israel’s defense helps make the America First agenda possible, the U.S. stronger, and the world a safer place,"
he stressed.

Professor Jeffrey Lax of New York University, a prominent activist for the Jewish community and in the fight against antisemitism and discrimination against pro-Israel professors and students, was even sharper in his criticism.

“The most sickening part of JDVance's mid-book tour press conference? Right here, where he accuses Israel(!) of attacking civilian population centers in Beirut when every honest person on earth knows it is exactly the other way around,"
Lax said.

“This man CANNOT be our next president," Lax declared.

The criticism was also echoed by the “Green Prince," Mosab Hassan Yousef, who lives in the United States.

"Israel is not a client state. It is a sovereign, independent, and powerful nation. Its strength has never depended on any foreign leader, it comes from its own people. While the partnership with the United States has been valuable, Israel has never been a burden. It has delivered massive contributions to American technology, medicine, cybersecurity, and defense, far beyond what most Americans realize. At a moment when America is facing deep internal and external challenges, turning against one of its most capable and loyal allies is not just shortsighted, it is self-destructive. Those who believe they are weakening Israel by attacking it are actually weakening America’s own interests," Yousef said.

During a White House briefing yesterday (Thursday), Vance claimed that Israel was bombing Lebanon indiscriminately.
Based on what Vance has done, no, he's not fit to be the next presidential candidate. And we shouldn't buy his books either. So he obscures the Hezbollah's evils, and rails against Israel instead? Vance has really disappointed.

Update: on the subject of Iran, they've backed out of the deal signing in Switzerland, and Vance has delayed a trip there. So what's being accomplished so far when the deal may be questionable at most?

Update: the Federalist is making things worse by fudging the exact details, and makes it sound like it's wrong to destroy a terrorist organization, and as though Iran's literally right to defend said monsters:
Israel’s targeting of Hezbollah in Lebanon has been a point of tension during negotiations with Iran, sometimes breaking ceasefires and jeopardizing the openness of the Strait of Hormuz. Israel has also killed negotiators from Iran in the past in the middle of talks.

Israeli attacks in Lebanon have reportedly resulted in tense phone calls between Trump and Netanyahu, in which Trump has reportedly said his Israeli counterpart has “no f-cking judgement” during the negotiating process.
This is insulting to the intellect, and could also explain why the same news writers seem disinterested in freeing all Iranian citizens who don't want to wear outfits like the chador. This can also explain why there are certain commentators on the right, in and out of Israel, who find the way this has been handled troubling, and don't sound optimistic this'll go over well.

Will alleged deal with Iran include surrender of nuclear materials?

Now, president Donald Trump says a deal with Iran will be signed on Sunday, ahead of a G7 conference he's attending:
President Donald Trump announced Saturday that a deal with Iran will be signed on Sunday, ahead of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at the White House and his departure for the G7 in Evian-les-Bains, France.

A short time after Pakistani Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar told Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan that the deal will be signed electronically, Trump took to Truth Social to confirm the deal will be formalized.

[...] The president said the deal does not include cash exchanges and the nature of his administration’s relationship with Iran is substantially different than that of his predecessors.

“Our relationship with Iran is a much different and better one than previous Administrations have had. Unlike Obama’s Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in payments to them, including 1.7 Billion Dollars in green, cold cash, no money will exchange hands,” he wrote.

Trump added that, at some point, the United States will retrieve the “Nuclear Dust” — enriched uranium that was buried by B-2 Bomber strikes at Natanz, Fordow, and Esfahan in Operation Midnight Hammer a year ago. Iran allowing the United States to retrieve and destroy this material had been a key redline of the president’s throughout negotiations.
Now here's one serious problem: Iran's reportedly trying to seal openings to the underground storages where they've kept the uranium with mines in order to make it difficult for the USA military to reach those areas, if at all. If such reports are factual, that's not shocking Iran's tyrants would do that, but it certainly won't make things any easier.

And of course, the Iranian dictatorship, as it stands now, cannot be allowed to continue running the country in any way. They've threatened to attack Israel again because of the IDF's continued work in Lebanon to defeat the Hezbollah, and if they do, that'll only confirm the regime has no intention of cooperating with even Trump. So it still remains to be seen what'll be the outcome.

Iran fired missiles anew at Israel after strike in Lebanon

What's happened now is something Iran's dictators threatened at least a week before, in what proves they still won't surrender:
After threats made about a week ago that an Israeli strike in Beirut would lead to Iranian intervention, Tehran has fired missiles at northern Israel.

As a reminder, about a week ago, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with the Lebanese channel Al Mayadeen that Iran had informed the US that "if Beirut is attacked, we will not accept this under any circumstances."

He added, "From our perspective, such an action means that the ceasefire has been completely violated, and our armed forces will respond." In another post on X, Araghchi stressed that the ceasefire applied "to all fronts, including Lebanon," and that "a violation on one front is a violation of the ceasefire on all fronts, with the US and Israel responsible for the consequences."
In other words, they're siding with a jihadist organization, one they also fund. This is abominable. The IAF wisely took action, striking some more sites in Iran where weaponry was being built.

Now, amazingly enough, things are returning to normal, with Iran stopping their new launches, and it would appear that Donald Trump saw to that, for which credit can be given. But it has been made clear that, should Iran resume, they will face action, and action must definitely be taken if it happens.

How conservatives woke up and realized their support for homosexual marriage "rights" was harming children

In past decades, many conservatives/Republicans regrettably supported LGBT ideology, until they finally realized that, worse than validating perverse practices, mainly by men, it was seriously hurting children in the process:
Conservatives are jumping the gay marriage ship. According to a new Gallup poll, Republican support for same-sex marriage has plummeted from 55 percent in 2021 and 2022 to just 37 percent today.

The reason is simple: Republicans were told that supporting same-sex marriage meant supporting their gay brother, daughter, coworker, or friend. They were told that opposing it meant they hated gay people, and many bought it. If supporting same-sex marriage was simply the price of treating loved ones with dignity and respect, they were willing to pay it.

What they were not told was that same-sex marriage would victimize kids
. No sooner had gay marriage been achieved on the grounds that marriage had nothing to do with children than activists, judges, and lawmakers turned around and demanded parenthood too.

Republicans have no interest in persecuting their gay friends and family members. What they reject is the claim that adult equality requires making children lose their mother or father. And after a decade of watching the consequences unfold, it has become obvious that “equal marriage” was never just about adult “rights.” It was about parenthood and children.
Some could say it was about cutting the mother out of the child's life, and in hindsight, I think ultra-Orthodox clans like the Satmar have some blame to shoulder for putting the keys in the ignition with their ideological approach. Even Islam's doubtless had some responsibility, based on its horrific suppression of women. One could wonder if LGBT activists paid attention to the MO of certain religious movements and adapted some of it for their own MO as well. The irony some aren't willing to consider is that religion may have played a much larger role than we think in leading to homosexuality and transsexuality by extension. Also in discussion in this article is how the efforts to remove gendered words from legal statues are still prevalent, in New York, if anywhere:
Parenthood statutes are being stripped of sexed terms. Mothers and fathers are now interchangeable “parents.” Infertility is being reclassified so same-sex couples can deliberately produce motherless or fatherless children with the help of insurance subsidies. Birth certificates have been altered to legally exclude a child’s biological parent. New parentage pathways bypass both biological and adoptive safeguards. It is the legal obliteration of the nuclear family. When familial distinctions are erased, children become items to be awarded by state-enforced contract.

The madness has not stopped. Even now, New York Democrats are advancing legislation that continues to scrub sex-specific parentage language from state law. New York legalized commercial surrogacy through its version of the UPA, the ironically named Child-Parent Security Act. Now lawmakers are cleansing the remaining statutory code so the language matches the new reality they created, replacing longstanding mother-and-father terminology with sex-neutral parentage concepts.

That’s because if you can’t name it, you can’t legally defend it. And gay activists regard even the mention of mothers and fathers as an attack on their “rights.”
And this is another reason why I'd rather not visit NY ever again. Who would've thought it be one of the worst places you could live in the USA? And only Muslims will be allowed to retain the dignity of father-mother descriptions, no doubt. NY is really going down the drain of all this shoddy propaganda.

Pasadena college is just as awful as some major universities

Rabbi Michael Barclay warns that the Pasadena City College has as much antisemitism going around as major insitutions do:
It is clear to many of us that environments on college campuses have transformed from institutions of academic learning into hotbeds of far-left activism, including and especially cultural Marxist and pro-Islamic activities. These colleges no longer serve as safe places to learn and explore; instead, they make conditions unsafe for far too many students, especially those who are Jewish and Christian and who are committed to Israel. The Department of Justice has started taking action against many of these schools such as UCLA, led by Leo Terrell, but attacks on Jewish students continue in a multiplicity of ways at smaller community colleges, such as Pasadena City College (PCC) here in Los Angeles.

This behavior is happening at high schools and junior colleges throughout the country, and I am only using PCC as the latest example because I have been called in and have personal experience with their institutionalized anti-Semitism. Most colleges around the country have Hillel programs: Jewish clubs with faculty advisors that provide support for Jewish students, are Jewish clubs working in conjunction with university administration, and create interfaith dialogue events so that Jewish and non-Jewish students learn more about each other and develop lasting relationships.

PCC is one of the few schools in the Los Angeles area that has no Hillel program. They do not even have a Jewish club of any sort, nor any faculty advisor who is there to help combat anti-Semitism. Conversely, they have a thriving Students for Justice in Palestine group: a national group devoted to furthering the Islamic goals of a worldwide Caliphate; a quasi-terrorist group that works in conjunction with Hamas, supports the Iranian regime, and is the responsible organization for the many violent riots that took place two years ago on college campuses around the country. While there is no Hillel program at Pasadena City College, the college officially supports SJP, despite, or possibly because of, its anti-American, anti-Semitic agenda. SJP has an official home at this community college in the Los Angeles suburb of Pasadena, where it meets weekly under the auspices of PCC.
Well in that case, even a smaller college shouldn't get any public/federal funding if this is the kind of creeps they're going to allow on their campus. For now, the worst part is that California under Gavin Newsom's government is undoubtably enabling this too.

Something going wrong with Miss Israel pageant in its current incarnation

I didn't know this clearly until now, but the Miss Israel pageant is still being held, in Florida rather than Israel itself, and it seems there's a controversy over where it could be going now:
The next Miss Israel may not be Israeli and may be part of a rigged competition, according to Miss Israel 2025 Melanie Shiraz, who warned that the same franchise holder that had allegedly subjected her to threats and extortion was stripping the institution of its Israeli character.

From the small pool of preselected candidates, only one had recently acquired Israeli citizenship. Shiraz understood that the new Miss Israel would be asked by the franchise owner, Edgar Entertainment, to apply for Israeli citizenship before the Miss Universe competition.

For the past two years, the competition was run from Miami, rather than in Israel, and encouraged non-Israeli Jews to apply.

“I represented Israel during one of the most difficult periods in our country’s history. That’s why it has been deeply upsetting to watch the title become increasingly disconnected from Israel itself,” said Shiraz. “A title called Miss Israel should belong to Israelis and give voice to the people whose story it is supposed to tell. If it no longer does, then what exactly does Miss Israel mean anymore?”

Becoming Miss Israel meant becoming a public ambassador for the state at a time when it was facing challenges to its history and right to exist, explained Shiraz, a responsibility that she contended required a thorough understanding of Israeli culture, society, and the Hebrew language.
Well it could be worse: what if they allow a man pretending to be a woman to participate, no matter his ethnic background? Will Shiraz or anybody else like her stand for that? Because if she does, she'll be throughly letting down self-respecting women everywhere, Jewish or otherwise, and that's a terrible example to be set for Israelis. But I will admit it's questionable if a woman who's not an Israeli citizen ends up serving as winner/spokesperson, if she doesn't speak in favor of Israel properly. And I definitely agree with Shiraz that if the current owner did anything horrific to her, that was wrong and whoever it is should be jailed for possible criminal offenses. These entertainment programs cannot be held hostage to corrupt businesses.

Even naturalized citizens have to be exiled if they commit offensive crimes

The USA Senate is looking for ways to deport naturalized citizens who commit severe offenses:
There are few remedies for removing foreign nationals who committed violent crimes, joined terrorist groups, or engaged in large-scale fraud after they became American citizens, lawmakers noted at a Senate hearing Wednesday.

Ken Cuccinelli, a former acting director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, pointed to two key cases that he said show the current law isn’t working, in his testimony to the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution.

In March of this year, Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a naturalized citizen from Sierra Leone, opened fire in a classroom at Old Dominion University, where he killed Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, an ROTC leader. In 2017, Jalloh pleaded guilty to providing material support to the Islamic State. He was reportedly sentenced to 11 years in prison but released early after completing a drug treatment program.

“Despite his terrorism conviction, Jalloh was never denaturalized and deported. Under current law, terrorism is prima facie evidence of fraudulent procurement only within five years of naturalization,”
Cuccinelli said. “Because Jalloh’s conduct fell outside that window, the government had no clear path to remove him. A brave American soldier died because of that gap.”

Cuccinelli brought up another example: Mirsad Ramic, a Bosnian national who became a naturalized citizen and lived in Kentucky before he was convicted last year of providing material support to the Islamic State terrorist group.

“We must act on multiple fronts, strengthen the front end, so adjudicators conduct meaningful inquiries, and every applicant is thoroughly tested for hostility to American principles,”
Cuccinelli said.

Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., the subcommittee chairman, sponsored the SCAM Act, short for “Stop Citizenship Abuse and Misrepresentation.” In other cases, he noted, naturalized citizens joined the Islamic State terrorist group or al-Qaeda or joined a drug trafficking cartel.

“If a man takes the oath of allegiance and then joins ISIS, the fraud likely began long before the battlefield,”
Schmitt said Wednesday. “If the man swears attachment to the Constitution, then spies for a foreign country, the betrayal likely began before the indictment. If a man claims good, moral character and then steals millions from the American people, the lie may have been present at naturalization.”

He said his bill would make it easier to denaturalize and remove immigrants who naturalized in the country and then committed a felony.

“We need a serious nationwide denaturalization effort against fraudsters, felons, terrorists, spies, and anyone who obtained American citizenship by deceit,”
Schmitt said. “If the government never revokes citizenship obtained by fraud, the oath becomes theater. The application becomes a game.”
In simpler terms, one could say what's called for here is a clear law making it easier to exile foreign nationals who commit severe offenses, and it's something tons of countries that want to remain civilized are in dire need of. We have to hope the GOP will make a serious effort to pass such bills through if they want to make the USA safer again for starters. Then, Europe will definitely need it next.

Democrats only want a women's museum that doesn't respect femininity

The Democrats opposed developing a women's museum because what the Republicans are proposing doesn't adhere to their repulsive ideas, such as men pretending to be women:
“House Democrats oppose a bill for a Smithsonian women’s history museum.”

This is not a sentence I ever expected to read.

Aren’t Democrats supposed to be the feminists? The champions of inclusion? The self-appointed defenders of the “disadvantaged”? And on top of that, they are the ones who pushed for the women’s museum to begin with.

Last week, the House voted on HR 1329, legislation concerning the establishment of the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum. Despite the Office of Management and Budget’s statement of support for the bill, it failed to pass the vote.

Initially introduced by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., the bill later became the subject of controversy after Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., added language clarifying that the museum would recognize biological women in its exhibits.

Apparently, complying with the actual definition of a woman makes you “far-right”
; at least that is what a quick online search of Mary Miller will tell you.

Once Miller’s amendment was adopted, many Democrats who had previously supported the bill suddenly withdrew support—an unsurprising choice given the Left’s agenda. An American Women’s History Museum was acceptable only so long as the definition of “woman” itself remained, well … undefined.

In the final 204-216 vote last week, several brave Republicans actually joined the Democrats to vote against the bill. But this was because they rightly don’t see the need for a women’s history museum at all.
Even if a women's museum isn't the most important thing needed right now, the way the Democrats approached all this is still reprehensible, and makes clear they're not a reliable party for women at all. So when will any self-respecting women break ties with the Democrats for a change?

More details about the Timothy Busfield sexual abuse scandal

Some new reports on the news reveal what led the parents of the twin boys Timothy Busfield was accused of sexually assaulting to contact authorities:
The allegations involve two boys who worked on “The Cleaning Lady.” Their parents said Busfield joined the show as a director and became close with the boys.

“He got pretty close to the boys, his name is Timothy Busfield, and um, he told the boys to call him Uncle Tim,” one parent said.

The parents said they later saw social media posts about allegations in California, then looked back at photos of Busfield with their boys and felt uncomfortable.

What changed things is when one of the parents told police she asked her children, “Has anyone ever touched you where you’re uncomfortable on set?” to which one of the children replied, “You mean like Uncle Tim?”

The parents said they called a pediatrician, then took the boys to University of New Mexico pediatric urgent care and got a referral to Child Abuse Response Teams (CART). The parents said after doctors talked with the boys, the doctors told them their story was consistent with grooming or preliminary stages of grooming.

A doctor also asked whether Busfield had ever been in a room alone with the boys. The parents said that happened in September during what was described as an audition, though one other person was in the room. The parents said that violated Screen Actors Guild rules because a parent needed to be present.

Later, police talked with the parents again after the boys had seen a therapist. Court documents say the parents then reported “a lot of touching and tickling,” including contact with the genital area.
This is very chilling, and again, it's disgusting how Busfield's wife, Melissa Gilbert, is acting as an apologist for him, all this despite how several accusations against him by at least 5 women is also very damning. If she has talent agencies representing her, they should stop their sponsorship for her as well, just like Busfield's did, because her defense of such a repugnant man is also reprehensible.

What was awful about Abraham Foxman

The former left-wing head of the shoddy ADL has passed on, and Liz Berney's telling what was wrong with his conduct, which unshockingly sold out to Islam, in example:
When I heard of former ADL (Anti-Defamation League) National Director Abe Foxman’s passing, I initially thought: this is a time to mourn. It seemed pointless and inappropriate to bring up the damage he caused to important efforts to combat Jew-hatred and Israel-hatred.

But a few days later, I received a mass email from The Focus Project (a group that ADL is a major member of) calling for “emulating” Mr. Foxman, including Foxman’s public opposition to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu addressing Congress in March 2015; and Foxman’s condemnation of President Trump’s 2024 Madison Square Garden rally. That email changed the calculus. Mourn, yes. But it is immoral to remain silent about those actions that we must not emulate going forward, when certain groups say that we must emulate them. I’ll start the below list of “what not to emulate” with the two items mentioned in The Focus Project mass email.

Foxman posted that the Trump rally used “ugly hateful words against Jews and other minorities” like those that led to “the gas chambers in Auschwitz,” and demanded condemnation of the rally’s “blatant words of hate ,racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, misogyny” [sic] But Foxman cited no actual hateful words spoken at the rally. Nor could he. The rally was pro-Israel, with Jews openly wearing kippahs and waving Israeli flags. The crowd cheered, when, for instance, rally speakers such as former Mayor Rudy Giuliani said: “I’m on the side of Israel. You’re on the side of Israel. Donald Trump’s on the side of Israel.”; Congresswoman Elise Stefanik condemned skyrocketing antisemitism on college campuses; and radio personality Sid Rosenberg said that he just got back from Israel, and that Israelis love Trump and Bibi. Condemning a pro-Israel, pro-Jewish rally as Nazi-like should not be emulated. [...]

One of my first projects when I joined ZOA’s staff in 2014 was working to stop the Met Opera’s production and AMC’s planned broadcast of the antisemitic, anti-Israel opera “Death of Klinghoffer.” The opera belittled the Jewish passengers on the hijacked Achille Lauro cruise ship as small-minded materialists; contained libels that Jews get fat from the poor, cheat, exploit, pollute virgins, defame, break laws, and are idolators; glorified the terrorists (who murdered wheelchair-bound Jewish American Leon Klinghoffer) as “men of ideals”; and promoted outrageous lies about Jewish Israelis’ treatment of Arabs in 1948. Leon Klinghoffer’s daughters publicly spoke out that the opera exploited their father’s murder and was antisemitic.

I personally called AMC and persuaded them to cancel the planned worldwide broadcast of the opera. I also worked with a group of strong pro-Israel activists to publicize the opera’s antisemitism and to arrange huge protests outside the Met against its 8 live performances of the opera. We probably could have succeeded in stopping the Met’s live performances – but then Abe Foxman got involved. Foxman announced that the opera was “not antisemitic” – which severely damaged our efforts to stop the performances that spread antisemitic blood libels. To add insult to injury, in order to try to show that he was doing something useful, Foxman claimed credit for my successful effort to stop the AMC broadcasts.

Giving “kosher stamps of approval” to blatantly antisemitic productions is obviously something that should not be emulated.
It's bad enough Foxman would give telling hints he's a self-hater. But even worse:
When Yasser Arafat – the unrepentant murderer of countless Jews and Jewish children – was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for signing the Oslo Accords (which Arafat promptly used to rapidly increase terrorism), many people were appalled. Relatives of Arafat’s victims protested along with liberal U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer; Kare Kristiansen resigned from the Nobel committee in protest; ZOA president Morton Klein called the award “repugnant and revolting,” the OU called the award “offensive”; Likud party leader Netanyahu stated that “the fact that the prize is given to the person who invented international terrorism turns the prize into a farce,” etc. By contrast, Foxman stated that although he was not a saint, Arafat “earned the prize.” Similarly, in a televised debate against Mort Klein, Foxman asserted that Arafat “deserved and earned the prize.” Defending honoring monstrous terrorists is unjustifiable and should not be emulated.
I think that says all you need to know just what a monster Foxman himself was, and it's chilling to think how many more people like him could've been pro-jihadists. And what's so wrong in his mind with being "islamophobic"? He obviously never read the koran either, or if he did, made up his mind where he stood on its content. Foxman was a most repulsive man, and whether we should mourn that he's gone, that doesn't excuse his most offensive actions, which were clearly meant to undermine the USA and Europe as much as Israel. With his passing, it's to be hoped the ADL will dissolve along with him. Such movements as his should not be supported in any way.

Iran has hopefully agreed to surrender all remaining nuclear materials they still have

In what's hopefully a positive sign, Iran reportedly agreed to surrender their remaining uranium deposits:
Multiple reports have indicated that U.S. negotiators believe that Iran has committed to giving up its nuclear ambitions and its highly enriched uranium as a part of a broader peace deal with President Donald Trump.

On Saturday afternoon, President Trump announced that an “agreement has been largely negotiated” between Washington and Tehran. However, Mr Trump said that the final details of the deal were still being discussed and would not be made public at the time.

According to a report from the New York Times, citing “two U.S. officials”, the Islamist regime in Iran verbally agreed to U.S. negotiators that it would give up its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

Although exactly how the nuclear material would be removed from the country remains unclear, such an agreement would fulfil a longstanding and major aim of the White House.

While the Islamist regime has yeet to confirm any details and has a spotty track record of following through on its commitments, an agreement would also likely shore up support from Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill, some of whom have expressed scepticism about coming to any agreement with the Mullahs.
While this is a good sign, we also have to hope all totalitarians still running the store will be removed from any position of rulership, and will surrender their firearms too, and cease forcing women to dress in burkas.

Iran also has to surrender any and all funding they allocate for terrorist activities worldwide, which included, but was never limited to, attacks on Israelis. There's just so much evil Iran's mullahs led to over 47 years that will take ages to clean up. Even now, nothing's final in what Trump's announced, and serious vigilance is still heavily required.

Why the NYT doesn't belong in Israel

Robert Besser makes a case for why the New York Times and its reporters have no business being in Israel:
Just because Israel is a democracy that believes in free speech does not mean that we Jews must commit suicide on the altar of the free press.

Rather, let Israel take actions to protect ourselves from the Jew-hating New York Times, including:

1) Stop New York Times reporters from working in Israel because the Times does not report truthfully about Israel.

2) Israel must not allow New York Times reporters to work in Israel because they apply a double standard in criticizing Israel that they do not apply to other countries.

3) Israel must bar the New York Times from working within Israel because they have an anti-Israel political agenda and do not provide their readers with unbiased or truthful reporting.

Of note, this issue goes far, far beyond Nicholas Kristof at the New York Times, who wrote unbelievably on May 11 that the Jews of Israel use dogs to rape Arabs.

Kristof’s column was labeled the “most hideous and distorted lies ever published against the State of Israel," by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In writing such age-old antisemetic libels, Kristof was doing was what he is paid to do by the New York Times as one of their hired guns. As proof of this, senior editors allowed his May 11 blood libel against the Jews to be published. They did not fact check or question Kristof’s absurd obscenities…..because at the New York Times everyone is paid to believe such lies.
Kristof is one of the most desensitized-to-violence writers to be found in what passes for journalism today, and he could make a great example of a reporter who should no longer be welcome to enter Israel at all.

NYC communist doesn't want sex offenders jailed

Catherine Salgado says there's a communist in NYC named Conrad Blackburn who's advocating a horrific position that seems to have become a very sad staple for the most irrational leftists in the modern world:
Every day brings a new scandal for the political left in America, as yet another of its candidates turns out to be in favor of policies every American would once have found laughably disqualifying.

The latest is New York City Assembly candidate Conrad Blackburn, whom the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) back, and who believes that criminals convicted of homicide, rape, and child molestation should not go to prison, they should just go to reeducation programs. Of course, data from multiple countries and several decades proves this is a disastrous plan, but why let reality interfere with socialistic utopian policies? After all, politicians such as Blackburn probably assume that the serial criminals they release will never kill or assault them.

Bronx Defenders staff lawyer Blackburn is running against incumbent New York City Assemblyman Jordan Wright, and part of his pitch during a March episode of his podcast “Brothers In Law,” according to the New York Post, was not to jail criminals guilty of “predatory sexual assaults of children” and homicide. “Even if, like, the client is guilty as f–king sin, I still don’t think that the punishment, like, meets what happened,” Blackburn rambled.
While some of Blackburn's fellow leftists may have also attacked his positions, this still stands out as one of the most repulsive examples of what New York seems to turn out these days, and why I don't want to visit them anymore. Some of the facts the disgusting assemblyman obscures include that:
The 1996 study in Canada found that 42% of child molesters will have a new sexual or violent offense conviction within 15 to 30 years after they are released, and that among those who are homosexual and target young boys, the recidivism rate is up to 77%. A 2004 review of 95 studies estimated an overall recidivism rate for sex offenders of about 37%. The Prison Policy Initiative used Bureau of Justice Statistics in 2019 to note that over two-thirds of rapists and sexual criminals reoffend within nine years, while almost 8 and 10 violent offenders will reoffend within the same time period.
And that's why sexual violence remains a very serious issue. I hesitate to think what that man's positions could be on October 7, 2023. NYC is a burg I would rather not visit again.

Texas student received death threats after speaking out against Islamic indoctrination at school

A student from Texas told Congress he received death threats after he spoke out against Islamic indoctrination in his school district:
A Texas high school student told members of the House Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government that he received death threats for speaking out about an Islamic group that passed out hijabs and copies of the Quran on a campus at Wylie East High School.

Marco Hunter-Lopez, a 16-year-old student at the high school in Wylie, Texas, a Dallas suburb, provided written testimony to the committee after being invited to testify about incidents he observed on his campus earlier this year. Hunter-Lopez founded the school’s Republican Student Club as a freshman student last year and told the committee he believes his group is treated differently from other groups at the school.

Hunter-Lopez told members his group faced myriad challenges from the school administration, which initially denied his club permission to operate on campus, claiming a “district-wide policy against political clubs” prohibited the establishment of his group. According to Hunter-Lopez, efforts to establish the Republican Student Club were ultimately successful after much back-and-forth with the staff.

The young student highlighted the disparate treatment the Republican Student Club received by campus administrators, saying, “Principals were caught taking down our approved posters while I was out of town. I have documented a timeline of specific instances of unfair treatment, including being pulled into the principal’s office, cornered, and talked down to. After we hosted guest speakers, the principal tried to impose new rules on the fly. My father even had to help create a guest speaker form to protect me as a minor.”

Hunter-Lopez told members about other groups faced with no such scrutiny. The teen testified about a large booth installed at the campus labeled “Islam” in the cafeteria. At the booth, Hunter-Lopez says four adult women were posted as part of the group he identified in his testimony as “Why Islam.”
The principal should be disbarred from ever working in education ever again. And of course, the Muslim group should be banned from operating on the school campus. Will Congress and Texas' own government do anything to prevent further Islamic indoctrination there?

And it goes without saying that to repeatedly encourage women to wear hijabs is offensive to women's diginity as human beings and humiliating.

What will Iran be like after the ayatollah's been finished?

That's what Jason Greenblatt talks about, now that the USA/Israeli strikes on Iran's infrastructure and nuclear sites have been carried out:
Something has changed in the Iran nuclear negotiation that many analysts are not fully accounting for. The military balance between the United States and Iran has shifted more dramatically than at any point since the Islamic Republic acquired its first centrifuges. Iran’s air defense shield, the infrastructure that for years effectively concealed and protected its nuclear program, has been destroyed. Its proxies are severely degraded. Its economy is under sanctions and naval blockade pressure that is genuinely unprecedented. Its nuclear sites have been damaged. Trump built leverage that no American president has come close to matching, and he is bringing it to the table.

The question is not whether Trump will press for his terms. He has made clear he will, and those terms—principally the physical removal of enriched uranium from Iranian soil and a permanent prohibition on nuclear weapons—are the deal the United States and the broader Middle East need. The question is whether Iran will accept them. And beneath that sits a harder one: Will the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which has its own theory of deterrence and its own institutional equities in the nuclear program, allow any agreement to hold?

Both questions matter. Neither has a clean answer.

The strategic landscape today bears almost no resemblance to 2015, when the last deal was struck. When the Obama administration concluded the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran’s regional power was intact. Hezbollah was the most formidable non-state military force in the Middle East. The Houthis were an insurgency, not a force capable of threatening Red Sea shipping lanes. Hamas governed Gaza with operational freedom. Iran’s air defenses, built over decades with Russian and Chinese assistance, provided real protection for nuclear infrastructure deep inside Iranian territory. The pressure on Tehran was economic—real, but not existential.

None of that is true today.

Iran’s air defense network has been dismantled. The S-300 batteries and radar infrastructure that once raised the cost of strikes on Iranian territory are gone. Its navy has been largely destroyed. Its air force is severely degraded. Command and control infrastructure, Revolutionary Guard facilities, and intelligence networks have all been struck
. What remains of Iran’s conventional military capacity is a fraction of what existed before the conflict began. That is a fundamental change in the military equation.
What is clear is taht the IRGC cannot be allowed to continue to govern Iran in any way, shape or form. Nor can Islamic sharia. And of course, let's not forget that it's vital to confiscate any uranium and other nuclear materials still in Iran to ensure that in the forseeable future, they can no longer pursue such repulsive goals as world destruction.

Toronto continues to be a terrible example in Canadian territory

A terrorist organization has been allowed to hold a conference in Toronto despite being banned by the Canadian government for their terror ties:
A pro-October 7 massacre conference is set to be held in Toronto in November, according to the Masar Badil Movement Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement Instagram account, hosted by a branch of an organization banned by Canada for being a terrorist group’s front.

The Three Years of Al-Aqsa Flood Conference, subtitled “Resistance & Return From the Belly of the Beast,” is being organized by Masar Badil, an organization closely linked to Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, which was listed by Canada as a terrorist entity for its close links to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist organization. [...]

The conference was immediately endorsed by several organizations suspected of being branches of the Samidoun network after being designated by both the US and Canada as a terrorist front in 2024.

Endorsers include Tariq El-Tahrir Youth and Student Network, the Masar Badil youth movement that previously launched a petition for the release of Capital Jewish Museum shooter Elias Rodriguez, and Nidal Seattle, run by Bissan Barghouti, the former head of Samidoun Seattle. Barghouti is also an executive member of Masar Badil. Another group was Students United for Palestinian Equality and Return at the University of Washington, which has overlapping members and events with Nidal Seattle.
Seriously, this doesn't reflect well on the Canadian government at all, but then, it's sadly been led by far-leftists for decades now. This case certainly does continue to make Ontario look like a very bad place, as awful as New York can be. If the Canadian government doesn't do anything to stop this from going ahead, that'll continue to compound what a terrible image they have.

USA ambassador to France hears what Jewish-French teens have to cope with

Charles Kushner, father of Jared Kushner and ambassador to France, held a meeting with Jewish-French teenagers who're on the front lines in the crisis involving antisemitism in the country, perpetrated as it mainly is by Muslims:
It was supposed to be just another official visit on the busy schedule of US Ambassador to France Charles Kushner, father of Jared Kushner.

But when Yonès, an 18-year-old from Rennes in northwestern France, refused to accept an official letter from the embassy explaining his absence from school, the masks began to fall. Yonès did not want his teachers - and certainly not his classmates - to know he was a member of a Jewish youth movement. In fact, apart from his best friend, no one at school knows he is Jewish.

Yonès’s confession was only the opening moment of an emotional and unusual meeting held at the ambassador’s official residence on the prestigious Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Ambassador Kushner invited young leaders from CTeen, the worldwide Chabad youth network, to hear firsthand what life is like for a Jewish teenager in France in 2026.

For two hours, the ambassador and his wife Seryl spoke not about high diplomacy, but about real life. Kushner asked direct questions: “What does it feel like to be Jewish today in a secular French school?" The answers he received were simple and painful. Since October 7, 2023, schools have become a social battlefield for many of them.

“These are teenagers living on the front line of antisemitism," said Rabbi Mendy Mottel, director of CTeen France, who accompanied the group. “The ambassador wanted to know what is really happening in the hallways, what they feel when they walk into a classroom knowing they may be the only Jews in the room."
Here's also the same story on the Jerusalem Post site:
A private meeting between Jewish teenagers from across France and US Ambassador Charles Kushner exposed the daily reality facing young Jews in French public schools, where some said they hide their identity, remove visible Jewish symbols, and wait all week for the chance to reconnect with Jewish peers.

Nine members of CTeen France, Chabad’s global Jewish teen network, visited Kushner and his wife, Seryl, on May 4 at the official US ambassador’s residence on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, Chabad.org reported. The teenagers, ages 14 to 18, came from CTeen chapters around the country and spoke with the ambassador for two hours about life as Jewish students in France.

One of the teenagers, Younes, 18, from Rennes in northwestern France, reportedly declined an official embassy letter explaining his absence from school because he did not want teachers or classmates to know he was active in a Jewish youth movement. According to CTeen representatives, only his best friend at school knows he is Jewish.

When Kushner asked the teenagers what it felt like to be Jewish in a secular French school, they described years of antisemitism in classrooms and a sharp rise in hostility since the October 7 massacre, Chabad.org reported.
Read more, but seriously, it's annoying that they describe the classroom as "secular" when there could be Muslims "studying" there. It's terrible this is the case. But that's exactly why on the one hand, they have to support movements for exiling the Religion of Peace from the country, and on the other hand, they should also back women and children's safety movements, since many women and children have fallen victim to violence, sexual and physical, committed by Islamofascists. And I hope Mr. Kushner will give his backing to that position too.
