Israel's election takes place, and news from the USA's midterm election

For October 27, Israel now goes to the polls, and no telling for now what the results will be. All I know is that, if the party of Gadi Eisenkot comes out ahead, that'll be very bad.

Now, over in the USA, the midterm election's about to take place, and wouldn't you know it, the far-left film and theater actor Mandy Patinkin's backing Michigan's Muslim candidate Abdul el-Sayed in the Senate race:
Left-wing actor Mandy Patinkin is making his last-minute appeal to voters in Michigan with the odd claim that Muslim Democrat Abdul El Sayed is the only candidate who can assure the “safety of Jews.”

Patinkin took to his X account and posted a long message and a video flogging El Sayed’s candidacy for the U.S. Senate from Michigan on Friday and made the quixotic proclamation alerting voters that “Jewish safety depends on a real multiracial democracy—and Abdul is the one fighting to protect it.”

“We know how much it matters to live in a country where our rights are protected,” the Princess Bride star continued, “where the law applies equally to everyone, and where the majority can’t just decide that some people don’t deserve the same freedoms. The safety and freedom we’ve found in America didn’t happen by accident. They exist because of democracy. And protecting democracy means protecting Jewish safety, too.”

Of course, Patinkin seems blissfully unaware that America is not now and has never been a “democracy,” but instead is a republic.

He droned on about how the “courts are weakened” even though he supports the very party responsible for the unrelenting lawfare being waged to tear down the American system, and he wrung his hands over how “people lose equal protection under the law,” despite that he is pushing the same party which uses police, the courts, and the levers of government to oppress and jail those with whom they disagree.

He added, “That’s why I find it so alarming to see what’s happening right now. When masked government agents are taking people off the streets and citizens are being shot in public, we should all be worried about where things are headed. As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume they’re safe from what comes next.”

Patinkin is, of course, not telling much truth there. No “certain groups of people” are being targeted by the Trump administration. An illegal alien is not a certain group like Jews are a certain group. Illegal migrants are not a particular religion, or race, or creed. They are anyone breaking immigration laws by entering the country illegally. Targeting illegal migrants is nothing like oppressing “certain groups of people.”

Indeed, Jews should be incensed that the actor is comparing them to illegal migrants. It is an insulting and false characterization that belittles the racism and violence Jews often face.
Patinkin even attacked GOP candidate Mike Rogers, and resorted to classic cliches by implying the Republicans are doing nothing more than enforcing fascism. Patinkin's dhimmitude is repellent, of course, but the fortunate news for now is that it looks like more Jewish-American voters are now turning to the Republicans:
Republicans lead Democrats by 31 points among Jewish voters on the congressional ballot, according to a McLaughlin & Associates poll that points to a potential shift among a group that has long favored Democrats.

The poll found that 64 percent of Jewish voters backed Republicans for Congress, while 33 percent supported Democrats, pollsters John and Jim McLaughlin wrote in an article published by the firm Monday.

The result would mark a major shift from the large margins by which Jewish voters have traditionally favored Democrats, though pollsters John and Jim McLaughlin warned that the sample of Jewish voters was small. [...]

There have also been signs of a narrower Democrat advantage among Jewish voters in New York. CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten said this month that the party’s lead among Jewish voters on the House ballot in the state had dropped from 49 points in 2022 to 13 points this year.
Well I hope the crowd that's now turning more to Republicans can make a differences on their part. I assume Zohran Mamdani's the reason for some of this, and also state governor Kathy Hochul's own dhimmitude. We can only hope the Jewish electorate in NY will also send a message to Patinkin they don't approve of his offensive mendacities.

Update: one of el-Sayed's staffers even acted as an apologist for the Muslim Brotherhood:
A staffer for Michigan Democrat Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed was caught on undercover video dismissing concerns about the Muslim Brotherhood, calling Americans “idiots” and saying he might even support some of the organization’s activities if he was more informed.

T.J. Wolfgram, El-Sayed’s independent and conservative outreach captain, made the remarks during a conversation with an undercover operative on October 15, according to video obtained by the Midwesterner.

Discussing scrutiny of El-Sayed’s family connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, Wolfgram described the controversy as “so ridiculous” before offering his assessment of American voters.

“It’s because Americans are idiots,” Wolfgram said.
This is disgusting, and he even downplayed the problems with Hasan Piker. I've got an awful feeling Patinkin's aware of all this, which makes his apologia for el-Sayed that much more offensive.

TV producer doesn't want Adam Brody's repugnant viewpoints

The creator of Nobody Wants This on leftist Netflix has said she disagrees with star Adam Brody's obscene anti-Israel statements:
“Nobody Wants This” creator Erin Foster has responded to recent comments made by the show’s lead actor, Adam Brody, who accused Israel of “genocide” and called for a “Free Palestine,” by saying that she does not agree with his views.

Foster is a guest on an upcoming episode of the “Not Skinny but Not Fat” podcast, hosted by Amanda Hirsch. It will premiere on Oct. 27, but a teaser clip released on Thursday for the episode shows Hirsch asking Foster to share her thoughts on Brody’s recent interview with GQ magazine, during which he accused Israel of committing a “genocide” against Palestinians and expressed support for a “free Palestine.”

Brody plays a rabbi in “Nobody Wants This” who falls in love with a non-Jewish woman, played by Kristen Bell. The actor is Jewish but previously described himself as “not religious at all, a nonbeliever.”

“You know, it’s complicated,” Foster said when asked about Brody’s comments. “I think our work environment, our set is very similar to dinner tables around the world where people are having debate and discussion and disagreeing. And, you know, while I love Adam, I also disagree with him, and that’s okay.”

Foster then said she wants Jewish fans of the Netflix show “to know that I see you, and I hear you, and I understand how you feel.”
Well in that case, maybe she should dismiss him from the role, and hire another actor instead? In any case, the way it's written is unappealing, and I just don't see the use of wasting time watching it on a network that's already notorious for PC conduct.

Update: actress Tovah Feldshuh, who plays the star's mom in the series, also disagrees with Brody:
In an interview with the "New York Post" published Sunday, Feldshuh said, "to accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild. It’s right out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim, and you make the victim the perpetrator." She said such accusations carry particular weight within the Jewish community when they come from Jewish people themselves. She added that influential public figures who spread claims she believes are false could cause significant harm.

Feldshuh, 77, also expressed strong support for Israel. "I believe that the perseverance of the existence of the state of Israel is crucial to the well-being of the democratic world and of the free world," she said. "Of course, Israel needs the United States, [but] the United States needs Israel, believe me." She added that, in her view, the current political climate has brought opposing ideological extremes closer together, with socialism and antisemitism increasingly converging.
That's one of the worst things occurring today.

Larry David may have gotten something right

The entertainer who co-created Seinfeld had some interesting stuff to say about the Democratic Socialists of America and the harm they're leading to:
In The View From Here (paywalled), David takes some fairly light shots at the DSA. It’s been a long time since Larry David was edgy and he isn’t edgy here. (To be fair, it might sound better as a standup bit than as a written text.) Like a lot of Democrat comedy that punches left, it acts as if the left is just foolishly naive, or maybe its punch lines are just dressed up in that ‘clown nose on’ defense.

Take the satire that bites at the end of that last sentence. “When the D.S.A. takes over, it will be our policy to close the jails and release all prisoners… People will be encouraged to give them a pat on the back, offer some words of encouragement, and maybe even get them to open up about their crimes. Imagine how upsetting it must be to know you’ve taken a life!”

Or take this ticker that Larry David bought to his own cancelation. “The D.S.A. has great respect for religious traditions. Because of our burgeoning Muslim population, we want to take all measures to give these people a strong sense of belonging in America. Along those lines, we’ll require that all Caucasian women wear a hijab on weekends in solidarity with their Muslim sisters.”
That may be satire, but it does get at what the problem is with the DSA now. And it's not just caucasian women whom they want to make wear hijabs. It's also Black/Asian/Latina women. So the question now is, will any women wake up and recognize what's wrong with the DSA?

Judge in Timothy Busfield sexual abuse case dismissed charges because of supposed irresponsibility by prosecutors

It's very sad, but a travesty of justice occurred involving a man who turned out to be a monster in Hollywood:
A New Mexico judge has dismissed an indictment against “West Wing” and “Field of Dreams” actor Timothy Busfield that accused him of criminal sexual contact with a child, citing prosecutorial misconduct and errors that undermined the grand jury process.

State District Judge Joseph Montano granted a defense motion to toss the charges in a decision released Friday.
Well this is sad, but even in the post-Harvey Weinstein era, not shocking at all. According to this item:
State District Judge Joseph Montano dismissed the four-count indictment on October 16, 2026, finding that prosecutors failed to act fairly and impartially while presenting allegations involving a child actor on the Albuquerque set of The Cleaning Lady. The ruling leaves authorities free to seek a new indictment.

Eight witnesses had been waiting outside the courtroom, ready to testify, when grand jurors repeatedly asked to hear additional evidence. Rather than calling them, prosecutors imposed voting requirements the judge later found had no basis in state law.
If the prosecution acted improperly, that was wrong and definitely stupid, because now, even though the court of public opinion can ensure Busfield's career is over, that still doesn't mean he should be allowed to run around loose. The district attorney may try to refile the case, but their errors can still end up doing serious harm to the victims of Busfield in particular, and I can't understand why they had to make such awful mistakes. Time will tell if an attempt is made to correct this botch, and until then, Busfield, along with his disgraceful wife, Melissa Gilbert, should be ostracized.

Sydney Sweeney may really be for real about converting to Judaism

Here's more about actress Sweeney's meetings with rabbis over a possible conversion process:
“The couple is discussing having their own family and Scooter feels strongly on the subject,” a source said.

We previously reported that Braun is planning to pop the question within the next six months.

We also reported that Sweeney was spotted attending Rosh Hashanah services with the mogul at Temple Sholom in Greenwich, Connecticut.

“They sat in the back,” said a spy who saw them at the synagogue, which counts Mayim Bialik and high-profile financiers Mark Shenkman, Steven Tananbaum, Cliff Asness and Andrew Milgram as congregants.

While online site DeuxMoi first reported that Sweeney was considering converting, we are now hearing she is serious about it.
What I hope is that she does so in a way that doesn't demand she just drop her acting career just like that, doesn't require a dress code, and that she simply continue for as long as she thinks she's got potential as an actress. Besides, the film industry is something that cannot be monopolized by leftists, and if Sweeney's reportedly a Republican supporter, we need many more like her to fill it for as long as possible. So I welcome her conversion if she does, but it shouldn't be according to ludicrous terms, plain and simple.

Update: it turns out Sweeney's also got a lineage connection with Marilyn Monroe.

Self-haters give leftists in Europe exactly what they want at film festivals

Some survivors of October 7, 2023 are rightfully outraged at how 2 "documentarians" made a film hostile to Israel:
A confrontation broke out Thursday evening during a screening of the film NAZA in the Dutch city of Delft after the wife and mother of two Israelis murdered by Hamas during the October 7 massacre confronted the public about the film’s directors, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, and the assertions they reached during the documentary.

“Look me in the eyes," Sabine Taasa urged Abraham and Szor. "You’re talking about collateral damage? My husband and my son were murdered by Hamas. Where does this appear in your film?”

Taasa's husband, Gil, and one of her sons, Or, were murdered during the massacre. Additional children of hers were also wounded in the attack. She traveled to the screening in the Netherlands with members of Ad Kan, intending to protest the way the war is portrayed in the film and to share her family’s story with the audience.

"I came here to tell my story. My name is Sabine Tassa. I came from Israel to tell you the truth," she said.

According to footage shared by the Israeli organization Ad Kan, several audience members responded by shouting, “We don’t care,” “Shame on you,” and “We don’t want to hear.”

Dutch Party for Freedom founder and leader Geert Wilders slammed the audience members in a post to X/Twitter responding to the incident.

"The callousness is staggering," Wilders wrote. "Sabine Taasa survived the October 7 massacre. Her 17-year-old son was murdered at Zikim Beach. Her husband was killed shielding their two young sons from a grenade."

“'We don’t care.' That is their answer to her suffering."

"The truth means nothing to the Left. Its alliance with Islam is an expression of moral bankruptcy that threatens the future of the Netherlands and of our civilisation. A crowd can drown out a voice. Not the TRUTH," said Wilders.

In a later post, Wilders stated he hosted Taasa at the Dutch Parliament.

"Her 17-year-old son and her husband were killed. She is a strong and wise Israeli friend," he said. "I will always support Israel and fight Islamic terrorism. Never surrender."
Who knows if the festival in focus even ever screened documentaries about 9-11 and the Bataclan massacre with objective viewpoints? If they never have, that says more of what you need to know what's wrong with such festivals too. And the filmmakers who did a repulsive disservice to Israel should also be ashamed of themselves, and ostracized.

Nobody wants leftist/atheist actor Adam Brody if this is how he's going to act

Brody, the star of an unsurprisingly shoddy depiction of a "rabbi" on Netflix's Nobody Wants This, has decided he's taking the Moslem side against Israel:
A rabbi who served as a consultant on the first season of Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This” blasted the show’s lead actor, Adam Brody, in an Instagram video on Tuesday after the latter accused Israel of committing a genocide in the Gaza Strip.

In a new interview with GQ magazine, Brody, who is Jewish, spoke publicly for the first time about his thoughts on the Middle East conflict.

“Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide,” the “OC” star told the publication. “Put me down as wanting a free Palestine. It’s awful that it’s taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it’s reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago.”

Brody also said he wished for another presidential administration to “correct some of these policies that are helping that situation be as awful as it is.”

Brody previously described himself to The New York Times as “not religious at all, a nonbeliever.” He told the same publication he “barely got bar mitzvahed and retained nothing from it.” [...]

Rabbi Steve Leder said he was the “technical advisor” for season one of “Nobody Wants This.” His job was to ensure that the show portrayed Judaism and Brody’s rabbi character authentically and respectfully. In an Instagram video, Leder, who is also the former senior rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in California, said Brody’s accusation about a genocide in Gaza was “truly shocking.”

“Not only because of your misuse and mischaracterization of the word genocide, there is no genocide in Gaza, there are genocides in other countries happening, but you failed to mention any of them,”
Leder said. “You by your own admission are a relatively ignorant Jew and your ignorance really showed the other day.”

“And by the way, being so flippant about a word like genocide, is disgusting,”
he added. “Here’s some more technical advice: If you know nothing about something, you should say nothing about it.”
The problem is, it doesn't look or sound like Leder's technical advice actually made it into the final drafts of the teleplay. At least he condemns shoddy Brody for his apparent self-hatred stance. His Netflix program is decidedly something we don't want to view at all, and his far-left, pro-Islam politics are insufferable.

Sydney Sweeney would make a perfect representative for Judaism, if she converts

Actress Sydney Sweeney's rumored to be considered a conversion to Judaism, based on her relationship with music producer Scooter Braun:
Hollywood's most talked-about romance of the year keeps generating headlines, and this time the story has taken a distinctly Jewish turn. According to rumors, "Euphoria" and "The White Lotus" star Sydney Sweeney is weighing a dramatic, life-changing step for her partner, successful Jewish American music producer Scooter Braun – conversion.

The conversion rumors surfaced after the popular gossip account Deuxmoi reported that the Emmy-nominated, 29-year-old actress was spotted at synagogue with Braun during Rosh Hashanah prayers. People close to the couple say Sweeney is head over heels in love and is eager to build a Jewish home with him.

It would be a striking shift for Sweeney, who was raised in a devout, conservative Christian household. Braun, 45, by contrast, comes from a Conservative Jewish family, grew up keeping kosher, and is the grandson of Holocaust survivors
. Reports suggest Sydney's push to fast-track both the wedding and the conversion has unsettled her Christian family, who are wary of just how quickly the relationship has moved.

In less than a year: sharing a home

Since October 7, Braun has been considered one of the most prominent and outspoken pro-Israel voices in the American entertainment industry, and he has managed to bring his partner along with him. In January 2026, Sweeney touched the Jewish and Israeli community when she met in Los Angeles with Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or, the couple kidnapped together from the Nova festival, who survived prolonged Hamas captivity before their release.

A photo circulated by the advocacy group StandWithUs showed Sweeney smiling as she embraced Noa and Avinatan warmly. The encounter, made possible by Braun's close relationship with the pair, won her praise from Israel's supporters even as pro-Palestinian users online pushed back with criticism and boycott calls. Sweeney did not let the backlash rattle her.
Again, Sweeney's an amazing girl, based on her solidarity with Israelis, and if she converts, she could become what the Judaist movement needs: a sex symbol in entertainment. Of course, to convert, she should not have adhere to any dress code or wear a wig like a Columbian soap opera start did when she converted. By doing that, she not only validated propaganda that being beautiful is somehow inherently wrong, in and out of marriage, she was also erasing her national history. And that's wrong. So I hope any rabbis who oversee a conversion for Sweeney will do it in a way that respects her ethnic/national heritage, along with her God-given gifts. That's the real way to manage the Judaist religion.

The modern sports bandits

Catherine Salgado reports that men pretending to be women in sports have stolen over 2000 medals from lady athletes:
Biological men who claim to be women have stolen more than 2,000 gold medals alone from girls and women in the United States, according to a new estimate from a conservative women’s group.

The explosion in the number of young people, especially male athletes, who claim to be members of the opposite sex is certainly due to the huge Democrat push for putting LGBTQ in everything. But when it comes to sports specifically, it is also true that many boys and men who realized they were never going to reach the level they wanted, competing against their fellow men, figured out that by growing their hair long and changing their names, they could be first every single time. Not only that, but many politicians and celebrities would call them heroes for beating women.

Penny Nance, CEO and president of the Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC), said on September 22, “It is shockingly unfair for biological women to have to compete against trans-identifying men. Our research finding that trans-identifying males have stolen over 2,293 gold medals from women in the United States is an outrage. Biological men have distinct advantages over biological women. This reality not only puts women in harm’s way, but it eliminates opportunities for biological women to earn a living and win competitions. Congress must act to protect biological women.”
But the Democrats at this point are unlikely to do so, as they proved over the past decade they've never been supportive of women's rights. It's up to Republicans to prove they can put an end to this, and make sure the frauds return the medals they don't deserve.

The challenges of making the Daily Wire's latest film project

In this Daily Wire interview, they discuss the making of Run, Hide, Fight: Infidels, which is their project for focusing on the issue of Islamic terrorism:
Ben Domenech: Dallas, before we start talking about this movie, which was something that was important for you to do, talk about the decision to go in this direction — one that was a little fraught, just given the topic area and the fact that you were going to take a new and different genre approach to this, I would say, than perhaps you had before while staying in the same family. Walk me through a little bit about the decision processes that led up to deciding to make this movie.

Dallas Sonnier: You don’t hire me to produce a movie if you’re trying to make something for Hallmark, let’s say, and you don’t hire someone normal or reasonable when you’re going to make these kinds of movies. And so I am, in certain ways, built for this moment, just because of the movies that I’ve made and the career I’ve built, and learning how to make high-budget movies for low-budget money. And we always get nice big stars in these movies and the explosions look big. The part of my career I’m most proud of is building this type of movie-making. And so that’s how it gets made. Now the genesis of it was a conversation between me and Mike Richards, the new Daily Wire CEO, Ben Shapiro, and the writer-director of the original “Run Hide Fight” movie, Kyle Rankin.

The four of us got on the call, and we said, “Hey, we should really consider making another ‘Run Hide Fight’ movie. It does so well on the platform, and it’s so successful for us, and we want to go bigger and better.” And so that’s how it came about. And then we battered around some ideas, and Mike Richards was really inspired by the student protests at Columbia University, but most importantly, the counter-protest normal students, so to speak, who fought back and wanted to go to school and go to class and not be interrupted by this pro-Palestine nonsense. So that’s the genesis of the movie and how it came to be and how we go about it. [...]

BD: Just to circle back to the Islam question, there is real concern when you engage in a project like this that the threats that come through are more meaningful and more real than perhaps the long-distance threats of nation-states and the like. Now that may not always be true. There are plenty of documentarians and journalists and people like that who Russia has reached out and targeted over the years in places that are not Russia, despite their insistence on trying to have the same frequency of falling out windows in London. They have not achieved that same level, but it does seem to me that there is always an additional risk that comes when you’re seizing on this topic area. How much of a concern was that for the participants in this production? Did you have to work through their own concerns about this, just given that there’s a reason that there’s not a Charlie Hebdo that involves evangelical Christians?

DS: Sure. We cast the terrorists in the movie mostly from the stunt community. And so I joke around a lot as a proud conservative and as almost a right-wing filmmaker at this point. I joke around that we can’t name our favorite conservative chef because they don’t exist. Conversely, you can’t name your favorite liberal stuntman because they don’t exist. And so when you’re leaning into a really tricky role that has a lot of action and violence and things like that, the trick is to cast a stunt person and then help them get the performance. And so we were unbelievably blessed with that group of guys.
I definitely hope they make sure to employ good security for their project contributors as well. If anything, I'm glad they're now tackling a challenging issue like this, and hope they don't allow intimidation to get in the way. Otherwise, serious subjects will not be focused upon or dealt with. I wish the Daily Wire staff good luck with producing this item.

Netflix desecrated the memory of Charlie Kirk

A scandal erupted following a message that was posted on Netflix's social media pages that was stunningly offensive to the memory of Charlie Kirk, a man who'd been gunned down in cold blood by a LGBTQ practitioner:
Droves of Netflix subscribers are announcing they have canceled their memberships after the streaming giant made a “neck injury” joke on the one-year anniversary of the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

“Nearly did himself a neck injury,” Netflix’s official UK and Ireland X account quipped in a Thursday caption, sharing a photo of a male character from The Gentlemen apparently straining his neck to get a better view of a woman.

The joke about a man having a “neck injury,” however, was posted on September 10, the one-year anniversary of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot in the neck while trying to have an open and respectful dialogue with a student at Utah Valley University.

Viewers were quick to notice the veiled jab, resulting in a slew of social media users taking to the comment section of Netflix UK & Ireland’s post to announce they are canceling their subscriptions.
Well this is utterly repulsive, and it's miraculous that a company with such a disgusting reputation for being "woke" didn't end up buying Warner Brothers studios, which has been bought by a mogul now in charge of Paramount studios. Seriously, nobody should be wasting money on a business with those kind of repellent operators helming their social media pages any more than bad managers being in charge of the studio itself. It's time for more to cancel their subscriptions to such a shoddy network.

Melissa Gilbert continues to flub

The actress who stupidly continues to defend her disgraced husband Timothy Busfield, despite the serious accusations of sexual abuse he's facing, supposedly defended child performers, and only wound up receiving criticism from Megyn Kelly:
In the wake of the allegations against her husband, Gilbert, 62, who played Laura Ingalls in LHOTP, has publicly spoken out in defense of Busfield. She also more recently posted an emotional PSA about protecting child actors following the death of Hayden Panettiere at 36. "Enough is enough," she declared on Substack, pointing to the deaths of Panettiere, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Daveigh Chase as a sign that "something is very, very wrong."

Kelly, 55, was not impressed
. On The Megyn Kelly Show, the former Fox News host claimed, "She's gotta offer her 2 cents because it's very important to Melissa Gilbert to be seen as a champion of women, even though she's not."

Additionally, Kelly shot down the idea that mobile phones are to blame for the deaths of former child actresses.

"It appears to be thanks to people like your husband, who you are defending," Kelly said. "She's standing by him even on the host of women who have come forward. She was asked by George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America whether she was aware of the litany of women who have come forward against him. OK, it's not just one or two. By my count, it is… at least seven who have come forward."

Kelly continued, "This woman, the gull. Like, how ever do we get to this point where women are being seriously abused — why don't you ask Timothy, Melissa? He could really help us out. Oh, wait. You don't give a s***about anything involving him. It's just something that you don't have any connection to that you would like to condemn. That's not how it works. You're going to have to sit this one out, Mel."
Even if this doesn't involve exactly the same topics and offenses Busfield was accused of committing, Gilbert has no business taking the moral high ground so long as she remains the creep's leading defender and apologist, and so, she again screws up classically. Such a disgraceful woman indeed, and she continues to destroy her legacy playing roles like Laura Ingalls Wilder on the 1974-84 Little House on the Prairie TV show. Perhaps it really is best if we all stuck to the original books instead.

Earlier, it was noted regarding the TV show When Calls the Heart that:
Gilbert's departure from the show might have less to do with "budget issues" than indicated, though. The announcement comes as her husband, actor and director Timothy Busfield, faces sexual abuse allegations in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after an alleged incident occurred on set while Busfield was directing a TV show between 2022 and 2023. "When Calls the Heart" is no stranger to scandals, including some behind-the-scenes details that only true fans of the show know after spending so much time in Hope Valley, so Hallmark might be trying to avoid another one with Gilbert's sudden departure.
Here's also some news about how Gilbert's wallet's been emptied based on her willingness to finance Busfield's legal bills. If they go broke, they'll deserve it. Something's wrong alright, and it's Gilbert's vehement refusal to be a realist. That kind of position is not a good example for wives to set.

Spielberg's institutions funded Islamofascists like Mamdani and Khalil

Ron Torossian did some research on what a filmmaker who's more a humiliation than an honor has been doing behind the scenes in places like New York:
Steven Spielberg called the profits from Schindler's List - a film about the murder of six million Jews - "blood money." He put it into the Righteous Persons Foundation, established in 1994 with approximately $100 million from the film's earnings. The stated mission: support Holocaust education and Jewish life in America.

Thirty years later, the foundation's tax returns reveal that money funds the progressive Jewish infrastructure that endorsed Mamdani, mobilizes for Palestinian Arab rights, advocates to defund the police, and publicly defended Mahmoud Khalil - the Columbia University activist facing deportation.

The 990 filings show Bend the Arc received $1.2 million across five years. T'ruah received $690,000. Jews United for Justice received $925,000. The Jewish Social Justice Roundtable received $250,000. The foundation's last donation to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum came in 2019. Its last grant to the USC Shoah Foundation - Spielberg's own creation - was $500,000 in 2015.
This is telling, and discouraging too in regards to Spielberg's resume. It's enough to make me want to ask for my money back. I'm not sorry his latest movie, Disclosure Day, was a financial failure. And then, look who Spielberg met with, even if he didn't finance his campaign personally:
On January 1, 2026 - inauguration day - Steven Spielberg officially became a New York resident. Days later, he hosted a private meeting with the new mayor at his apartment overlooking Central Park. They were joined by Kate Capshaw, their son Theo and his wife, and Morris Katz, Mamdani's senior Jewish adviser. The meeting did not appear on the mayor's public schedule. It was confirmed only after New York Times inquiries. Both sides described it as a "friendly introduction." There was "no particular agenda."
Oh, I'll bet. If Spielberg and company haven't objected in any way to Mamdani's most offensive speeches and deeds, that speaks volumes. Spielberg may not have funded Mamdani directly, but as the info makes clear, he certainly is cunning at having such awful people funded indirectly. One more reason why it's best at this point not to pay to see any more of his movies.

Following this news, ZOA manager Morton Klein issued a fully justified condemnation for Spielberg's despicable acts:
Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) National President Morton A. Klein sharply criticized filmmaker Steven Spielberg's Righteous Persons Foundation over grants it has made to progressive Jewish organizations that Klein accused of working against Israel and endangering the Jewish people.

Klein, who is the child of Holocaust survivors
, was responding to an exposé by Israeli-American activist, Betar leader and ZOA Coalition member Ronn Torossian titled "Where Schindler's List Money Went." [...]

Klein cited Torossian's report as identifying several recipients of the foundation's funding, including Bend the Arc, which reportedly received $1.2 million; Jews United for Justice, which received approximately $925,000; T'ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights, which received approximately $690,000; and the Jewish Social Justice Roundtable, which received approximately $250,000.

Klein particularly criticized Bend the Arc over its opposition to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism and its political activities. He noted that the organization's political arm endorsed Zohran Mamdani in his campaign for mayor of New York City and supported his candidacy through fundraising, canvassing and advertising.

He also leveled harsh criticism at T'ruah, accusing the organization of repeatedly promoting positions hostile to Israel. Among other issues, Klein cited T'ruah's criticism of Israeli military operations in Gaza, its opposition to the IHRA definition, its partnership with Breaking the Silence and its campaigns concerning Palestinian prisoners in Israeli custody.

Klein further accused T'ruah and like-minded organizations of supporting efforts during wartime to block arms sales to Israel, saying such efforts endangered Israeli and Jewish lives.

He also criticized the organization over its campaign against the tax-exempt status of pro-Israel Jewish charities and over its focus on what it describes as "settler violence" in Judea and Samaria
. Klein rejected that terminology, describing it as a "blood libel" that he said distorts incidents involving attacks against Jews.

The ZOA president said a review of the Righteous Persons Foundation's tax filings revealed grants to additional organizations he regards as hostile to Israel, including the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.

Klein criticized the JCPA for spearheading a letter opposing measures by the Trump administration targeting anti-Israel activity on American college campuses. He characterized those measures as efforts to prevent Hamas supporters from attacking Jewish students.

The controversy, Klein argued, is particularly painful because of the source of the foundation's original funding. Spielberg has said that he did not personally accept a salary for Schindler's List, and profits associated with the film helped establish charitable initiatives devoted to Jewish causes and Holocaust remembrance.
And now, the funds are being used for evils like aiding Islamofascism. Spielberg's undoubtably hiding something very dark, and if his career as a film director/producer is now waning, it's for the best. We should avoid any further films he makes if we don't want him using any dough made from those for his current evil deeds. A most despicable man indeed. Why, if this is what Spielberg thinks, who knows what his positions are on Armenia?

More of the testimony of one of Timothy Busfield's early victims

Here's some recent news telling more about Eliza Roberts' terrible experience with the now disgraced actor/director Timothy Busfield, who was indicted earlier this year on at least 4 counts of sexual abuse against minors:
Although she described the incident in a sworn deposition three decades ago, she deliberately stayed away from media interviews because she did not want the attention that came with accusing a well-known actor.

That changed after the actor was indicted on four counts of criminal sexual contact with a child in New Mexico. The charges stem from allegations involving underage male actors on the set of "The Cleaning Lady."

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Eliza said hearing Busfield dismiss the accusations against him convinced her that remaining silent was no longer the right decision.

"The reason I decided it's time is because he is calling people liars who are telling the truth,"
she said.

According to the "Twist of Fate" actress, the account she was now sharing publicly was the same one she recently gave detectives investigating the current criminal case. [...]

Eliza Roberts says her encounter with Timothy Busfield began as an ordinary chance meeting. She recalled visiting the Children's Book and Music Center in Santa Monica to buy books for her children when she unexpectedly ran into the 69-year-old.

"I stopped in there to get some books for my kids, and Tim was there, and it was nice to run into each other," she shared.

The two spent time catching up, discussing their careers, children and family life. She described the conversation as pleasant before she says it unexpectedly shifted into deeply uncomfortable territory.

According to the casting director, Busfield allegedly began complimenting her before turning the discussion toward her marriage and sexual topics. Eliza decided to leave, believing the interaction had ended.

Instead, she claims Busfield followed her into the parking lot. She initially assumed he wanted to continue their conversation or say goodbye. What happened next, she says, caught her completely off guard.

"It was almost like a different person, and I was confused because I just didn't understand where that came from,"
the director recalled. "And he was in a world of his own. He looked like he was in the throes of a very intense moment that he was having that was all kind of at my expense."

Her 1994 deposition alleges Busfield made graphic sexual remarks, including describing intimate acts he wanted to perform and criticizing the sexual aspect of his marriage to his then-wife.

Timothy Busfield Deposition Led To An Emotional Confrontation Years Later

Years after giving her deposition, Eliza Roberts says Busfield contacted her directly. "He said, 'Eliza, how could you do this to me? We're friends,'" she recalled.

Rather than backing away from her testimony, Eliza explained that she challenged him over what she believed had happened.

In her words, "Yes, I thought we were friends, but do you remember what you did to me? It's the same thing you did to her! She's your kid's age! What are you doing? You're calling her a liar. Do you know how awful that is?"

According to the 73-year-old movie star, Busfield never apologized. Instead, he ended the conversation, and they never spoke again.

Her husband, actor Eric Roberts, said he stood behind her decision to testify because the allegations brought by the teenage actor reminded her of her own experience.

"She provided her statement because she saw what happened to her was happening to someone else,"
he said.

Eric added that his wife was especially upset because, in his view, Busfield had accused the teenager of inventing the allegations.

"She was p-ssed off because [Busfield] had been accusing the girl of fabricating what happened to her,"
he told the Daily Mail. [...]

Although Eliza tried to move forward after the alleged incident, she says the emotional impact never completely disappeared.

She recalled dining with her mother and sister at one of her favorite Italian restaurants in the early 2000s when Timothy Busfield unexpectedly walked inside with friends.

"He walked in with some friends into the restaurant and I burst into tears," she said. The reaction surprised her because she considered herself resilient, yet seeing Busfield immediately brought back memories she thought she had left behind.

Eliza told her family that she had recently reported him after another young woman alleged similar behavior.
It's absolutely atrocious what Busfield did, and additionally atrocious how his wife Melissa Gilbert is going miles out of her way to defend him and serve as his apologist. Mrs. Roberts is absolutely correct to speak out against Busfield now.

I also noticed somebody in the comments section telling the following:
I had a brief phone encounter with him in the 90s. A few members of our cast shot a local TV segment in front of his children's theatre in Sacramento, which was arranged with his office coordinator. Busfield was nice enough to appear on-camera, which was a bonus for us, as we hadn't received any confirmation he'd actually be there. After the cast left, I received a call at my office. It was Busfield. He screamed at me for at least five minutes, because the crew didn't stay to shoot an entire story on his theatre, something that was never previously discussed or agreed upon. "Do you know who I am?!" and "My publicist makes more money than you do!" -- were repeatedly screamed at me during the call. He was beyond livid. When the crew returned to the office, I told the field producer about my conversation with him. She was completely taken aback, and said he was perfectly nice when they were there. I'm not trying to pile on here, but the sense of an off/on switch with him tracks, even back then.
So in addition to being a wolf in sheep's clothing behind the scenes in TV and film, Busfield's also a creep in the business division. Now, he can yell in his prison cell for all we care. We definitely must hope he'll be convicted when the official trial begins next year.

Timothy Busfield whined about "cancellation" at his indictment trial

In this recent news about the disgraced Timothy Busfield's first trial where he was indicted for sexual abuse, he could only think to lament that he'd been "canceled", as if that wasn't expected following his crimes:
After major roles in "Thirtysomething" and "The West Wing," Timothy Busfield's career was waning at 69, but he was still a working actor and director.

Not anymore, according to his grand jury testimony exclusively obtained by USA TODAY from the district attorney's office in Albuquerque, New Mexico, through a public records request.

Busfield told the 12-member jury that he can no longer find work. His last hope, he said, was that the child sex abuse allegations against him would not also ruin his wife, actress Melissa Gilbert.
Unfortunately, she's ruined her reputation by sticking with him despite the severity of the accusations against him by several other victims, which includes actress Claudia Christian. Which could explain why Gilbert's not returning to the role she had on Hallmark's "When Calls the Heart", more on which anon. As for Busfield himself, he should be ashamed of himself if he was trying to get the jury to feel pity for him. Though his own use of the word "canceled", in reference to his career, suggests both he and Gilbert coordinated their own approaches to the legal system and the press. What's head-shaking about it is that in the past decade, leftists like them were pushing "cancel culture", and now that their own careers are in the trash bin, they have the gall to use it for their own situations? Sigh.

In this report, it's told Busfield became awkward when questioned by police:
Timothy Busfield willingly spoke to police while under investigation for alleged child s– abuse, but one interaction left a police officer questioning everything, Wonderwall.com can exclusively reveal. [...]

In grand jury testimony audio, the investigator on the case recalled speaking with Busfield. The actor, in his own testimony, confirmed he spoke with authorities and was read his rights.

The officer admitted he didn’t give Busfield the full “scope of the investigation.” At first, he wanted to just see if Busfield would discuss “the tickling.”

The actor, who faced a similar allegation in Minnesota in 1993, was accused of touching the private parts of two young boys on the set of The Cleaning Lady. The kids alleged to therapists, their parents, medical experts, and authorities that Busfield would tickle them and touch them inappropriately
.

Before the officer offered that context about his investigation, Busfield allegedly did admit to the tickling.

“I asked Mr. Busfield if he had ever tickled these children and there’s been any tickling,” the officer said. “And at first he said, ‘I don’t recall these children.'”

The conversation then allegedly took a turn as the director “got very awkward.”

The officer claimed, “He said, ‘Well, it’s likely I engaged in playful interactions with them … with some children,'” he said.

Busfield’s alleged story corroborates boys’ claims

Further, Busfield confirmed some details about what the boys described.

The officer told the grand jury, “I asked him to describe the setting of (the children), where they were filming. I’m new to the film industry. I’ve never been an actor. I’ve never been filmed before. So, he described the bedroom setting. It’s a hospital setting with a bed-gurney, which was actually the setting consistent with Mr. Busfield was consistent with the setting the children disclosed in the forensic interview.”

The director allegedly used the tickling as a way to guide them. The officer added, “He said he would go in there and get them ready to film, and he would tickle them and get them pumped up for the next set.”

Director confirms he spent hours with the boys

Busfield’s reluctance to acknowledge that he knew the children was later challenged during the actor’s own testimony.

When a prosecutor asked about his statement to the police, he claimed he never said he didn’t know the boys and it would be “ridiculous” to assert otherwise. After all, they worked together on set for the show.

“I spent hour and hours and hours with the children,”
he told the prosecutor. “Of course I knew the two boys.”
There was a clue Busfield was nervous or embarrassed in one of the earlier reports, and this additional info from the trial hearing certainly confirms something's terribly wrong. Busfield really is a disgrace.

Some film and TV viewers guessed the Hallmark TV channel fired Gilbert from her role on When Calls the Heart because of this whole scandal:
In her post, Gilbert noted that budget cuts were the reason her character wasn’t included in the upcoming episodes, which will air in 2027. But her followers suspected that Hallmark was putting some distance between itself and Gilbert due to her husband, actor Timothy Busfield. Earlier this year, authorities in New Mexico indicted Busfield on four counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor. He pleaded not guilty and denied all the charges against him, which stem from alleged incidents on the set of the Fox drama The Cleaning Lady.

“I don’t believe for one second that it’s ‘budget issues’; more likely the holier-than-thou Hallmark Channel trying to protect their precious image,” one person commented.

“Budget issues is code for ‘we don’t want to support you during a very difficult period in your family’s life,’” another person argued.

However, several people pointed out that the decision to part ways with Gilbert might be related to the news that former cast member Lori Loughlin would be returning to the show next season after a long absence. Loughlin herself was fired by Hallmark in 2019 due to her involvement in the college admissions scandal.
If Loughlin only committed monetary fraud, that's peanuts compared to what Busfield did, and what Gilbert's doing by extension, which is noted in the following:
One commenter on Instagram speculated that it was Gilbert’s vocal support of Busfield that was causing issues for the network.

“[M]ight have something to do with her attitude about it all as well,”
they wrote. “I’ve watched the show from the beginning. This is the right decision for both parties as she seemed to be standing with her husband.”
So there are other people who realize Gilbert's actions are an embarrassment to her reputation, along with the TV channel's and studio's, and as a result, you can't be surprised if the producers didn't want to continue working with her. Though they really should have come clean and admitted they were parting ways with Gilbert based on where she's been going in her apologia for Busfield. To say it's budget issues when they could be rehiring Loughlin doesn't make much sense.

In any case, both Busfield and Gilbert's careers appear to be done, based on the severe crimes committed by the former, and the apologia issued by the latter.

The disgraced Busfield/Gilbert couple move out of their NYC apartment

A story from several weeks ago that I missed was actress Melissa Gilbert and her disgraced husband, Timothy Busfield, who was accused of sexual abuse, moving out of their NYC apartment:
Melissa Gilbert is moving out of her Big Apple apartment in New York City, which she shared with husband Timothy Busfield.

The actress took to her Instagram handle on Tuesday and announced that she was leaving behind the Upper West Side apartment she called home for the past eight years. Offering a look inside the moving process, she revealed that she was now relocating full-time to their upstate New York property, which was raided by federal agents earlier this year. [...]

This comes months after Timothy Busfield was arrested in January in New Mexico on child abuse and criminal sexual contact charges. The case stems from allegations that he inappropriately touched 7-year-old twin boys while working on Fox's The Cleaning Lady in October 2022.
Considering where NYC's been going lately, what with a Muslim mayor elected (what if Gilbert and Busfield voted for him?) and district attorney Alvin Bragg being reelected by a comfortable margin, it's a bit surprising they'd decide to split from the Big Apple. Obviously, there's still people in region who'd want nothing to do with them after what was reported about Busfield, but still, as some no doubt believe, NYC could be a very corrupt place to be, to the point where you wonder why the twosome aren't comfy living there anymore.

More recently, it was reported that Gilbert won't be returning to a Hallmark TV role she worked in:
Melissa Gilbert will not be returning to the hit Hallmark series When Calls the Heart.

Gilbert, who guest-starred as Georgie McGill on several episodes of the show during seasons 12 and 13, shared the news in a Thursday Instagram post.

“Many people have asked if I will be returning to When Calls the Heart this coming season. The answer to that is no I will not,” Gilbert wrote. “I am told this is due to ‘budget issues.’ That said, I wish all my sweet friends in Hope Valley a wonderful and successful season 14.” [...]

Hallmark confirmed Gilbert’s departure in a statement to People.

“We can confirm that Melissa’s storyline on When Calls the Heart concluded in season 13. We adore Melissa and are always grateful when we get to work with her.”

Gilbert’s career news comes amid her husband Timothy Busfield’s legal turmoil.
It's rather confusing and unclear, but to be sure, the whole scandal's embarrassed her, to the point where even the TV channel's staff must realize she too could be an embarrassment based on her vehement apologia for her "husband". What she did is a real career damager, and now for all we know, her own career could be coming to an end sooner than some might've thought.

The crisis in Europe now with Muslim sharia gangs

British writer Steve Tucker tells about how Muslim sharia gangs are imposing horror in Europe:
German director Uwe Boll’s new hit movie Citizen Vigilante, in which (spoiler alert!) actor Armie Hammer shoots dead an entire family of Muslim immigrants in retaliation for one of their number’s brutal rape of a native white woman somewhere in continental Europe, has been controversial for many reasons: its violence, its alleged “racism,” and its supposed potential to inspire copycat crimes.

An issue that should be causing far more controversy than the mere fictional vigilante violence depicted on-screen, however, may be the potential for real-life vigilante violence occurring off-screen, performed by Europe’s millions of imported Muslims. All over the continent in recent years, Muslims have been forming their own Citizen Vigilante-like mobs, which they claim are purely for innocent purposes of self-protection. I would suggest this is an issue of rather more valid public concern than a made-up movie in which a made-up white man shoots some made-up Muslims.

Pillars of the Community

The response to Boll’s movie from self-appointed Muslim “community leaders” has focused on calling it Islamophobic or demanding its distribution be suppressed. From some such figures in the United Kingdom, however — home to around 4 million Muslims and counting — the response has been slightly different. Rather than ban the movie, why not use it as an excellent excuse for setting up a giant nationwide Islamic army?
Read more at the article, which tells more about how in a way, the Islamofascists are setting their own "vigilante" armies, and already have. And that's something we cannot put up with anymore.

Something going wrong with Miss Israel pageant in its current incarnation

I didn't know this clearly until now, but the Miss Israel pageant is still being held, in Florida rather than Israel itself, and it seems there's a controversy over where it could be going now:
The next Miss Israel may not be Israeli and may be part of a rigged competition, according to Miss Israel 2025 Melanie Shiraz, who warned that the same franchise holder that had allegedly subjected her to threats and extortion was stripping the institution of its Israeli character.

From the small pool of preselected candidates, only one had recently acquired Israeli citizenship. Shiraz understood that the new Miss Israel would be asked by the franchise owner, Edgar Entertainment, to apply for Israeli citizenship before the Miss Universe competition.

For the past two years, the competition was run from Miami, rather than in Israel, and encouraged non-Israeli Jews to apply.

“I represented Israel during one of the most difficult periods in our country’s history. That’s why it has been deeply upsetting to watch the title become increasingly disconnected from Israel itself,” said Shiraz. “A title called Miss Israel should belong to Israelis and give voice to the people whose story it is supposed to tell. If it no longer does, then what exactly does Miss Israel mean anymore?”

Becoming Miss Israel meant becoming a public ambassador for the state at a time when it was facing challenges to its history and right to exist, explained Shiraz, a responsibility that she contended required a thorough understanding of Israeli culture, society, and the Hebrew language.
Well it could be worse: what if they allow a man pretending to be a woman to participate, no matter his ethnic background? Will Shiraz or anybody else like her stand for that? Because if she does, she'll be throughly letting down self-respecting women everywhere, Jewish or otherwise, and that's a terrible example to be set for Israelis. But I will admit it's questionable if a woman who's not an Israeli citizen ends up serving as winner/spokesperson, if she doesn't speak in favor of Israel properly. And I definitely agree with Shiraz that if the current owner did anything horrific to her, that was wrong and whoever it is should be jailed for possible criminal offenses. These entertainment programs cannot be held hostage to corrupt businesses.

More details about the Timothy Busfield sexual abuse scandal

Some new reports on the news reveal what led the parents of the twin boys Timothy Busfield was accused of sexually assaulting to contact authorities:
The allegations involve two boys who worked on “The Cleaning Lady.” Their parents said Busfield joined the show as a director and became close with the boys.

“He got pretty close to the boys, his name is Timothy Busfield, and um, he told the boys to call him Uncle Tim,” one parent said.

The parents said they later saw social media posts about allegations in California, then looked back at photos of Busfield with their boys and felt uncomfortable.

What changed things is when one of the parents told police she asked her children, “Has anyone ever touched you where you’re uncomfortable on set?” to which one of the children replied, “You mean like Uncle Tim?”

The parents said they called a pediatrician, then took the boys to University of New Mexico pediatric urgent care and got a referral to Child Abuse Response Teams (CART). The parents said after doctors talked with the boys, the doctors told them their story was consistent with grooming or preliminary stages of grooming.

A doctor also asked whether Busfield had ever been in a room alone with the boys. The parents said that happened in September during what was described as an audition, though one other person was in the room. The parents said that violated Screen Actors Guild rules because a parent needed to be present.

Later, police talked with the parents again after the boys had seen a therapist. Court documents say the parents then reported “a lot of touching and tickling,” including contact with the genital area.
This is very chilling, and again, it's disgusting how Busfield's wife, Melissa Gilbert, is acting as an apologist for him, all this despite how several accusations against him by at least 5 women is also very damning. If she has talent agencies representing her, they should stop their sponsorship for her as well, just like Busfield's did, because her defense of such a repugnant man is also reprehensible.

Nukhba jihadists must face charges for their sexual violence crimes

Sharon Zaghagi Pinhas reminds everyone that the sexual violence committed by Hamas/Nukhba jihadists in Gaza during October 7, 2023 cannot be forgotten:
One central question has not been addressed: whether the Nukhba terrorists will be prosecuted for the sex crimes committed on October 7 and in captivity. Despite repeated attempts around the world to silence and deny them, there is no doubt: grave sex crimes were committed strategically, systematically and on a large scale throughout the attack and in captivity. Many of the female and male victims were murdered, whether during the attack or afterward, and many of the crimes were committed deliberately in full view of others in order to sow terror. All publicly accessible sources clearly indicate that the Nukhba terrorists were driven by an extremist ideology rooted in an explicit intent to commit genocide and in the total denial of the humanity of Israel's population.

Since October 7, I have taken part, together with my colleagues in the Dinah Project at the Rackman Center at Bar-Ilan University, in a difficult and exhausting struggle in which the State of Israel and many civil society organizations joined forces to bring recognition and justice for the female and male victims. [...]

After all this, it is inconceivable that the indictments against the Nukhba terrorists will not include charges over sex crimes. Yet for now, all official bodies are silent whenever the question of filing indictments over the sex crimes is raised.

This silence is deeply troubling.

The sex crimes were committed as part of a mass assault by Nukhba terrorists, aimed at dehumanization and genocide. The terrorists operated inside an inconceivable "vacuum" in which everything was "permitted," murder, massacre and sex crimes alike.

Legally, in such a case, all the terrorists who chose to take part in the mass assault can be held jointly responsible for all the crimes committed during the attack, including the sex crimes, even if they did not physically commit them themselves.
And all those guilty must definitely must be held responsible, and severely punished for their repulsive crimes.

Anyway, it's good to inform that the Knesset approved a law to prosecute the monsters:
The Knesset plenum approved the second and third readings of the bill to prosecute the perpetrators of the October 7 massacre on Monday evening.

The law, which passed with a rare consensus of 93 supporters, establishes the legal infrastructure to try Hamas terrorists and their accomplices for the most heinous crimes committed during the murderous attack. The legislation sets the maximum penalty at death.

Furthermore, a dramatic reservation proposed by MKs Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionist Party) and Yulia Malinovsky (Yisrael Beytenu) was approved, stipulating that terrorists tried under this framework will never be released from prison, even as part of future prisoner exchange deals.

Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Yariv Levin welcomed the approval, stating, "This law ensures that the terrorists and their accomplices will stand trial and face justice, including the imposition of death sentences. From the depths of the horrific massacre we have risen - for the memory of the murdered, for their families, for those wounded in body and soul, for those who were taken hostage, and for the entire nation - to fulfill our supreme moral obligation: to bring the perpetrators of this ghastly slaughter to justice. I thank Constitution Committee chairman MK Simcha Rothman, MK Yulia Malinovsky, and all those involved in the vital work of advancing this legislation."
The news about the investigation into the Hamas' sexual violence, interestingly enough, has been covered by CNN for starters, although not without certain PC dictations in descriptions of the monsters:
Hamas militants and their allies raped, assaulted and sexually tortured their victims during and after the October 7, 2023 terror attack on southern Israel “to maximize pain and suffering,” a landmark new report has concluded.

Shared first with CNN, the report presents the most comprehensive body of evidence yet of sexual and gender-based violence against women, men and children, which it describes as “systematic, widespread, and integral to” the assault.

“The most important finding is the fact that the sexual violence on October 7 and against hostages in captivity has been a calculated strategy by Hamas,” lead author and human rights expert Cochav Elkayam-Levy told CNN.
Notice how they stick solidly with the PC term "militants" rather than "terrorists". It shouldn't have to take a genius to make clear that kind of restriction is unacceptable.

The news was also covered by the Toronto Globe and Mail, i24news, the Jerusalem Post, and here's more from them, along with an op-ed that makes clear the racist denialism must end:
With the release of this irrefutable proof, let this be the final day of October 7 denialism. For months, the world has watched as high-profile figures used their massive platforms to cast doubt on the suffering of Israeli women. Former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has been among the most vocal, publicly claiming there is “no evidence” of Hamas rapes and dismissing the testimonies of survivors and first responders as “filthy, disgusting lies.”

Similarly, activists like Samantha Pearson, a former director of a Canadian sexual assault center, and Canadian politician Sarah Jama signed a letter dismissing reports of sexual violence as “unverified accusations.”

Even entertainment industry figures, such as Susan Sarandon, have contributed to the skepticism by attempting to “contextualize” the events in ways that effectively minimize the crimes. When global feminist organizations and UN bodies waited months to even acknowledge these atrocities, they provided a shield for Hamas and signaled worldwide that the slogan “Believe Women” has a geographic and political limit.

This report removes that shield once and for all. It demands that the world stop asking for “more evidence” when the archives are already overflowing with it.

There is, however, a profound note of hope within these harrowing pages. The report’s extensive legal analysis provides a clear evidentiary basis for the investigation and prosecution of these acts as war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocidal acts under international law.
Waters is one of the most stunningly repugnant figures in the entertainment industry, and no sane person should buy his music albums. And as for Sarandon, it's about time she retired from acting. And anybody who's going to deny serious crimes cannot work at a center for treating rape victims.

Update: here's more from Breitbart.
