Satmar collaborator keeps violating at least one order in Bloomingburg
In another move spurred by the construction by developer Shalom Lamm, leaders of this eastern Sullivan County village plan to use the code enforcement officer of the Town of Mamakating as their own.Anyone who blatantly violates a restriction for the sake of a community as horrible as Satmar is not only a disgrace, but doing a grave disfavor for the Jewish community as a whole to boot. Lamm should quit this insult at once.
The Village Board passed a resolution Wednesday night to share the officer, as residents' complaints mount that at least one stop-work order on a Lamm building is being defied and other buildings are under construction.
"It's urgent, because people are actively renovating and there've been so many complaints," said Bloomingburg Village Attorney Steve Mogel, who noted that "one building with a stop-work order (the old hardware store on Main Street) is being openly violated."
