Border policeman dies from car attack
The new intifada has sadly cost another person his life:
Border Police officer Staff Sgt. Binyamin Yakobovich, 19, succumbed to his wounds on Sunday after he was critically injured in a car-ramming attack in Hebron last week. And there's still more random jihadist attacks going on, such as this stabbing that took place yesterday near Alfei Menashe, and another attempted jihadist was shot dead after brandishing a knife today. The new intifada, unfortunately, is not going to end so easily.
He will be laid to rest in the military section of the Kiryat Ata cemetery in northern Israel on Monday evening. His parents have requested that his organs be donated to save the lives of others.
Yakobovich was on duty on Wednesday when Palestinian terrorist Samir Skafi ran him over on Route 60 near the Halhul junction, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. Skafi, a 23-year-old Hebron resident, was shot dead after the attack.
