A jihadist stabbed a supermarket worker
The Israeli army raided the home of a Palestinian who carried out an apparently nationalistically-motivated stabbing attack in a supermarket in the central Israeli town of Yavne on Wednesday. They should've broken his legs, which would make him less of a threat.
A 42-year-old Israeli man was in serious condition after he was stabbed by a 19-year-old Palestinian.
Security footage of the incident showed the victim stacking shelves when the assailant walked past him. The attacker then turns back, appears to remove a knife from under his shirt, and begins to repeatedly stab the supermarket worker, who in turn attempts to ward him off with blows and products from the shelves.
The assailant was arrested after he was overpowered by bystanders and police on the scene. He was taken for questioning by Israeli police and security forces.
Israel's domestic security agency the Shin Bet later identified the Palestinian as Ismail Abu Aaram, a native of the Palestinian town of Yatta in the southern West Bank.
