Auerbach's cultists continue to be public monsters
The cult of Shmuel Auerbach's continuing their demonstrations against army enlistment at the expense of the public and traffic:
Twenty-two ultra-Orthodox protesters were arrested Sunday during demonstrations that blocked key junctions in Jerusalem and other cities, after the Jaffa Military Court sentenced 12 draft dodgers to jail sentences ranging from 40 to 90 days.If they release any rioters too early, they've failed their mission. In response to the jail sentences, the Committee for Saving the Torah World, which has been responsible for organizing recent demonstrations against the army draft, issued a call for action and hundreds took to the streets in the capital, Bnei Brak and Beit Shemesh, all cities with large ultra-Orthodox populations.
[...] Other demonstrators blocked the capital’s light rail line and services to some sections were stopped. In Bnei Brak 15 demonstrators were arrested and taken away for questioning. Other protesters blocked junctions in Beit Shemesh and Modiin Illit.
The Jaffa Military Court sentenced 11 yeshiva students who failed to undertake the necessary bureaucratic process required to obtain an IDF service exemption to sentences of up to 90 days in prison.They should impose heavy fines too, to make their crimes financially damaging. That's certainly what they should do with any who blocked traffic, including train lines.
These sentences were much higher than have been seen in the past and are possibly an attempt to curb the phenomenon of yeshiva students who fail to apply for their exemption in the correct manner.
