PLO freezes ties with USA over office closure
The US government's closing the local office the PLO has, and for that, Mahmoud Abbas has announced the PLO is cutting connections:
But more than that, the PLO must be declared a terrorist outfit again, and a dictatorship, and be invalidated for those reasons. It was an absolutely terrible thing when they were recognized as though nothing ever happened in the early 90s. That's a grave error that must be corrected.
Palesitnian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas announced that he has frozen all contact with the U.S. over the Trump administration’s move to shutter the Palestinians’ mission in Washington, D.C.Naturally, he has no intention of admitting the PLO's violated all requirements and sided with other jihadists besides themselves, therefore, the mission office must be shut down, most deservingly.
“In practice, by closing the office, they are freezing all meetings and we are making that official,” PA Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki told AFP.
The Palestinians’ move comes after the U.S. State Department on Saturday declined to renew the operating permission for the Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO) Washington office for the first time since the 1980s. PA chief negotiator Saeb Erekat called the move “very unfortunate and unacceptable,” and accused the Trump administration of capitulating to Israeli pressure.
