"National religious leader" is a disgrace indoctrinating his subjects to be unfair to ladies and the army
Prominent National Religious leader Rabbi Shlomo Aviner issued a ruling on Tuesday telling religious men not to enlist in the IDF until concerns relating to men and women serving together are resolved. His beliefs are awful. So they shouldn't make any physical contact with the fairer sex because they'll literally become sexually aroused and even commit adultery, according to the hilarious beliefs jerks like him cling to with all their might. But I'd argue his indoctrination runs the gauntlet of turning a lot of decent men homosexual, and that's no joke. He's advocating pure hysteria and no sane person should be associating with such an embarrassment who's got no respect for biblical Miriam, Deborah and Yael.
Aviner, who is part of the National Religious sector’s conservative wing, has long railed against situations in which religious male soldiers serve in close proximity to female soldiers and officers, as have other senior members of the National Religious leadership.
The issue has been one of the top concerns of the sector’s rabbis in recent months and years, especially with the new IDF protocol on integrating women into all areas of the army, which generated severe opposition from these leaders.
Aviner wrote his ruling in his regular questions-and-answers column on the Kipa National Religious news site on Tuesday, where he said that enlisting to the IDF under the current circumstances would be a sin.
The rabbi wrote that many yeshiva students end up transgressing religious laws prohibiting men from touching women other than their wives and said the situation was “awful.”
The liberally-inclined Ne’emanei Torah Va’Avodah organization was highly critical of Aviner’s ruling, saying that the dispute with the IDF over mixed-gender service should be resolved through dialogue and not through “slander, which dismantles the delicate fabric of the people’s army.”What's even more disturbing about Aviner's clownish idiocy is that he suggests he's not worried about jihadism threatening the country, and the presence of women in any leading position in the army is more serious in every way, shape and form than defending Israel. He's also suggested he doesn't consider Iran's own nuclear construction a serious threat to safety. For that, he should be shunned. And indoctrinating his subjects not to make physical contact even of simplistic sort with the opposite sex because it supposedly leads to all manner of immoralities is just as corrupting and dangerous for the psyche. I think he's also been panned by government officials for his latest insult to the intellect, and his yeshiva shouldn't be funded by them.
