Ehud Barak's best buddy from the past 15 years or so was found dead in his prison cell in New York, and what's truly shocking is that guards were negligent, and even took him off the suicide watch monitoring he was first put on 2 weeks before his death:

Guards at the New York City jail where millionaire investor Jeffrey Epstein was found dead Saturday did not conduct required checks on prisoners the previous night, according to a report.

Epstein died of a suspected suicide after being found unresponsive in his Manhattan Correctional Center cell where he was being held on sex trafficking charges. At approximately 6:30 a.m., Epstein was “found unresponsive in his cell in the Special Housing Unit from an apparent suicide,” the Federal Bureau of Prisons said in a news release.

Staff conducted life-saving measures and Epstein was transported by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Around 7:30 a.m., a gurney carrying a man who looked like Epstein was wheeled out of the jail and taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, the New York Post reported.

Epstein hanged himself while in solitary confinement. Three law enforcement sources confirmed the suicide to ABC News. NBC reported he was not on suicide watch.

“At the MCC, two jail guards are required to make separate checks on all prisoners every 30 minutes, but that procedure was not followed overnight, according to the source. In addition, every 15 minutes guards are required to make another check on prisoners who are on suicide watch,” Reuters reports.

Just what led to this sudden irresponsibility? Pretty fishy alright. Though Epstein was a most repulsive man indeed, what's bad about this development is that now, his victims may not be able to testify and the case will be hindered, or closed altogether, though the prosecution says they're going to be investigating the incident and details.

And what's Barak got to say about it?

Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, who has been dogged over his ties to accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, reacted Saturday to his death, saying he wished he had never met him.

“On this day, I am thinking of his victims, the price (they paid) and the terrible things he did,” Barak told Channel 13 news.

“Like many respectable people in the US, in retrospect, I would have preferred never to have made contact with him. But from the moment things became clear, that contact was immediately severed,” said Barak.

Oh please. How come he didn't think about it when he was spending time in Epstein's vicinity in the past decade? This is all just more baloney. A commentor on the article said:

Barak became a millionaire several times over from the money he received from Epstein. Now he says, "I wish I had never met him." Another lie from Barak. What he means is, "I wish Epstein had not done those things," or "I wish Epstein had gotten away with it," or "I wish my dealings with Epstein had been kept secret," or a variety of other things.

And he also says, "I'm thinking of his victims." He's not. He's thinking of Israeli voters, and he's thinking about the large sums of money he received from Epstein that Barak will enjoy for the rest of his life.

He could have said many other neutral and honest things. For example, "A sad end to a sad life," or something of that nature. He chose instead to say two things that are simply untrue. They are comparable to his apology for the death of 12 Arabs in October, 2000 - he did not care about the Arabs either, but he lied for political purposes, as he is doing here. To think that he was the prime minister of Israel at one point! Thankfully, he won't be again.

Hopefully, he won't be a cabinet minister either, let alone a Knesset member. Anyway, here's an article on Fox News by former prosecuting attorney Robert Bianchi stressing why Epstein's victims cannot be denied justice even after Epstein's death. Indeed, all connections must be investigated and put on public record. And on that note, some very eyebrow-raising info's just come out:

An alleged victim of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking scheme named two prominent Democrats as part of a group of men with whom she was forced to have sex, unsealed documents revealed Friday.

The more than 2,000 papers released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York allege that Virginia Roberts Giuffre, 33, claimed in May 2016 that she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with and give erotic massages to several politicians, foreign leaders, and businessmen, Fox News reported.

“There’s a whole bunch of them — it’s just hard for me to remember,” Giuffre said, according to the documents. “My whole life revolved around just pleasing these men and keeping Ghislaine and Jeffrey happy. Their whole lives revolved around sex.”

The two Democrat politicians named in the allegations were former Sen. George Mitchell (ME) and former New Mexico governor and Clinton cabinet official Bill Richardson.

Mitchell was once appointed a middle east envoy by Barack Obama. This is definitely alarming, the levels at which this form of corruption goes to. The 2 politicians are denying it, but it'd be far better if they testify in court and let everything be decided there. Similarly, maybe even Barak should be summoned to testify.
