Shas member who made gender-bigoted statements won't enter the Knesset
An incoming member of the Knesset, a member of the Sephardic Orthodox Shas party, said in public lectures on the Torah that women’s immodesty causes breast cancer and miscarriages. But he won't be, now that all this villification of sex has been discovered. It's obscene at this point how people like this speak in such denigrating terms about sexuality, and the guy even made insulting comments about people of Arabic descent that could harm the ability to combat the Islamic religion properly. Here's more:
Rabbi Baruch Gazahay also said in a lecture recorded in 2016 that “A woman who was used to revealing her upper parts usually is reincarnated as a cow, whose upper parts are exposed.”
Gazahay was set to enter the Knesset on Tuesday after the passage Monday night of an expanded Norwegian Law, which would allow up to five government ministers from each party to resign from the Knesset and maintain their ministerial portfolios, allowing the next names on the party lists to enter as lawmakers. The legislation benefits Blue and White because 12 of its 15 Knesset members held ministerial portfolios, leaving a shortage of lawmakers to work on Knesset committees.
An incoming Knesset member for the ultra-Orthodox Shas party won’t enter parliament after all, since numerous videos have emerged of him making disparaging statements about women, blaming immodest clothing for breast cancer and miscarriages, and claiming women who expose their bodies are reincarnated as cows.I think the most irritating part is this:
Rabbi Baruch Gazahay has posted hundreds of Hebrew-language YouTube videos over the last four years voicing his opinions on various subjects. He has more than 8,000 subscribers and has garnered more than 2 million views.
“A woman must be modest in her clothing,” he continued. “Unfortunately, in this generation there has been a small confusion. Women think they are men. How did women end up wearing pants? I’m dying to know. You’re a woman! How do you wear pants? You’re with pants and your husband is with pants, the poor child gets confused, who’s the father and who’s the mother?”I wonder why this is a concern, but not the transsexual ideology and agenda where men deliberately pretend to be women? Wearing pants alone does not make a woman a man, and the average woman who wears pants isn't pretending to be the opposite sex, nor does she lead her life that way. Haredis and such who only whine about women supposedly taking on overly masculine garments while not showing any concern about men who could wear an outfit similar to a dress (yes, there are Haredis who can don such outfits) are obscuring serious issues, including whether all this negativity towards sex is causing homosexuality. It's clear this would-be rabbi was indoctrinated very badly, and now must serve as an example for how troubling the ultra-Orthodox influence can be.
If he were smart, he would have spoken out against real problems like universities and other leftist indoctrination agendas that cause women to develop a lack of confidence and denigrate themselves as part of the LGBT ideology, by "transitioning" to become men, along with men who "transition" to become women. But it's apparent that wasn't what he was doing, and now he's only led to a whole embarrassment. If he's smart, he'll reevaluate his positions, and recognize where religious pundits went wrong on issues regarding sexuality.
