Knesset approves ban on political protests to help reduce Corona infection spread
The Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee on Tuesday approved legislation suspending public protests as part of efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus while demonstrators clashed with police outside the parliament building. Some of these protests have degenerated into violence committed by the attendants, as noted above, and that's why it's best to restrict them, besides how the attendants aren't taking health precautions. It's become a pure disgrace already the way they keep going at it all the time, and this city is in dire need of some quiet for a change too.
The bill approved by the committee allows the government to declare a special emergency and restrict citizens from leaving their homes beyond one kilometer, even for demonstrations, for the duration of one week with the option of extending it for up to 21 days.
