What university students think about Planned Parenthood after learning of its founder's racism
Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger reportedly once said, “we do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population." While some dispute that Sanger said these words, the move by Planned Parenthood of Greater New York to disassociate itself from Sanger's name provides further evidence of Sanger's racist tendencies. [...]So despite allegedly recognizing Sanger was a racist, they still believe PP just has to exist, and that it's whole purpose of abortion and such is a pinnacle of invention, one that should serve as a role model. Do they also believe the Ford motor company's vehicles should continue being bought, despite Henry Ford's own sordid past with supporting nazism? Ugh. This is little more than idol worship of the worst kind. And all courtesy of a horrible leftist indoctrination system that's damaged whole generations of college students. The worst part has to be that these students think it's virtually impossible for the organization to still have racists working in it. And that type of ignorance is truly awful.
Campus Reform also asked students if the United States should be funding an organization whose founder said this.
“People as individuals need to really decide for themselves if they want to support it or not. But I know I definitely wouldn’t if the f***ing leader said that,” one student said.
Campus Reform then told students who actually said the quote.
“It makes me feel nauseous.”
One student admitted she was “actually surprised. Planned Parenthood is usually a very liberal and inclusive organization.”
Despite the former claims that the quote was “racist,” students were still willing to support Planned Parenthood.
One student said that “as long as the organization itself isn’t being racist, we can’t really go after the organization itself for it.”
“I still think Planned Parenthood is important and needs to like continue on,” one student concluded.
